Mmmm 'Frosted flakes of Corn'. I am a 'Flakes of Bran' person myself.
As you can see, it's not advertising

Shazz of the h2g2 Post has asked me to write a yarn about the bee mite that is ravaging NZ beehives.
I wonder why?

*The Professor shifts continuity analysers on the Station over to the new thread.*
*He then finds he's quite busy. Hence...*

*Oh, could I just make a point?*
*Lil, you pointed out in one of your posts in the last thread that government sites miss things. Well, h2g2 is not owned by the government.*
*I'm not blaming you Lil, as this is something a lot of people believe to be true. Despite vicious rumours, the government does not own the BBC /whatsoever/. They work in close relation to it, yes, but the BBC has never ever shown any bias, and is a seperate entity entirely.*
*Just had to clear that up, as I noticed the problem on Slashdot too.*

"but the BBC has never ever shown any bias"
B******s (Virgin Records and the Sex Pistols went to court in the 70's and won the right to use the word, so I feel it is appropriate - anyway it's no worse that the language on BBC TV programmes these days).
Like any other large organisation, the BBC is biased. It might be less biased than other media (eg the newspapers) but bias is still is there.

You should have used an exclamation mark, Phil. More effective
BTW, email tomorrow, ok?

*Moderator's argument for editing the post:*
*Words such as that are on at a designated time (9pm onwards), when the site can be accessed any time.*
*I have found no bias in recent years.*

Unfortunatly language like that isn't confined to after the watershed. I was watching a popular music show on BBC2 on sunday lunchtime and wondered how they could get away with letting an interviewee make some of the comments he did.
Just because you have seen no bias Chris doesn't mean that there isn't any.Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence!
B-17 email whenever is good.
*Phil who has now made the first post using the latest build of mozilla - only about 5-6hours compiling it *

Phil Posted Mar 27, 2001
It's still there. See mozilla org for all the details. I think I still need time to play at configuring it all up so I'm back with netscape again just now

Phil,
Are the weekly builds of Mozila for *Nix any better than those for GAMEOS9X? M13(I think) was the last one I tried and it was still a long way from prime time.

So, dearies, how are we? Today was a good day for the Goddess...she found out her master's thesis was accepted...now just to make it through two more midterms, both tomorrow, and then a month of doing nothing but writing one piddly ten-pager, and then YIKES! the defense!
*searches pockets, not finding any mints*
