Ja, *zehn* Jahre...Ich war nur neun Jahre alt, wenn ich begonnen habeAber als Kind hatte ich Deutsch nicht gern. Unsere Klasse waren immer so langweilig, und es war nicht 'cool', Deutsch zu studieren.

Right okay...go to control panel. Then go to "regional and language options". Go to "languages" and click on details and select German as a language you want to use. Then you should be able to switch between English and German...there will either be a sort of small tool bar at the top of your screen on in the task bar at the right hand corner.

Let me know if you get stuck or anything

Thanks for going throgh all that trouble. I didn't manage to change any of the settings (it was a bit difficult because my computer is in Finnish), but found the ü by chance on my keyboard.

Finnish has ä and ö so I have them as separate keys on my keyboard

Warum behauptet denn Kat dass ich nie da wäre? Bin schon da, aber wenn niemand auf Deutsch tratschen will, mag ich hier auch keine Selbstgespräche führen!

Ich habe eine allgemeine Frage: Möchtet ihr eigentlich, dass ich im Speaking Thread eure Fehler verbessere? Ich hab immer das Gefühl, dass das hier gar nicht wirklich erwünscht ist. Es stört irgendwie den Gesprächsfluss. Was meint ihr?

I’ve got a general question: do you want me to correct your mistakes here on the Speaking Thread? I’ve got the feeling that people do not really appreciate here. It kind of interrupts the discussions all the time. What do you think?

What do you need 14 cases for? For me even six cases in Latin were too much!

“Ice-cold Coca-cola, coca-cola ice-cold,…” – isn’t it a terribile song? I really feel sorry for you, because they tortured you with that song in school!

By the way your German is brilliant! I think there won’t be much to correct in your case anyway.
