I want to join!!! Please sign me up as "teaching researcher".

why are "teaching researchers" also listed as "speaking researchers"? *intrigued to know* ...isn't it self-evident that a "teaching researcher" is able to speak the language?

Yeah, but some people might be thick or slow or something.

Some people might be able to help with teaching, but be too busy to join in the general chat. We're hoping that doesn't happen, but we're prepared for it if it does

Tach auch!
Sprechen und lehren kann ich, wenn ich auch etwas wenig Zeit habe, online zu sein. Ihr könnt mich also gerne in beide Kategorien aufnehmen.
Hi there!
Speak and teach I can, even though I don't have much time to spend online. So, feel free to add me to both categrories.

Right.... ummmm... Hi. I guess I should be put down as a speaking person 'cause like, I've been learning German for a year and a half at school, and probably one of the best people in my class, but that's because I am the only one who ever pays any attention to what the teacher says and everyone else just draws on their arm and in their record book and on whatever worksheets get handed out. So pretty much everyone likes drawing... sorry, ranting... Yeah, but I wanna learn more German stuff too 'cause German is cool. So I'll speak and learn. Ok? Cool.

Hee hee. Uhhh... well, maybe you should start with the basics, instead of jumping right into ranting about buses and pssports and not going to parties because of something to do with a banana split. Though all that stuff was actually quite amusing. *smiles*

hello there!
welcome to the “German Speakers”, Manson_rocks! (how shall we call you?)
oh yeah, the banana split sentence… it kind of didn’t add up, though a nice example for main and subordinate clauses, wasn’t it?
see you later!

As for the basics, manson_rocks, you could take a look at A863453 (German Pronounciation) and - even better - A487415 for a number of grammar lessons.

Thanks. I'll check those out some time when I am not meant to be cleaning my room. *glances across the hall into her room, which is the most messy thing she's ever seen*
Anyway, my name is Danielle, though most people on h2g2 seem to like calling me Dani, so you can call me that if you like.

OK, I'm thinking I should join this since Dani is insisting on teaching me German on MSN...
