Die Formulierung „bei dir“ stimmt. Allerdings solltest du den Satz umdrehen: „Was passiert bei dir Gutes?“ – Klingt besser.

Woher kommst du? Interessierst du dich denn für Politik?

Yes, I’m interested in politics. I’m observing the “Punch and Judy show” pretty close, so that I can complain about it afterwards . And I’m still here in Austria. What good stuff is going on here… good question… maybe something comes into my mind by tomorrow.

Saying “bei dir” is okay. But you should turn the sentence around: “Was passiert bei dir Gutes?” (What good stuff happens in your place?). – Sounds better.

Where are you from? Are you interested in politics?

Ich komme aus England. Ich wohne jetzt in King's Lynn, aber du kennst dass du diese Stadt wahrscheinlich nicht. Ganz normal - viele Englander auch nicht! ;-D Ich wohne hier nur seit sechs Monat - davor wohnte ich funf Jahre in Strassburg, in Frankreich. Ich kann besser Franzoesisch als Deutsch!

Ja, ich interessiere mich fuer Politik, es gibt immer etwas neues darin!

Du kannst „Feedback“ mit „Feedback“ übersetzen. „Correction“ ist „Korrektur“ oder „Verbesserung“.



I don’t know King’s Lynn. Is it a nice town? When you lived in Strasbourg, you were very close to the political EU-events! I have to say that in my opinion the parliament’s to and fro between Strasbourg and Brussels is silly . I think they should give up their base in Strasbourg. A lot of money could be saved that way. What do you think?

Klarinette ist sehr wunderbar! Auch spiele ich Saxaphone. Aber ich bin nicht gut. Ich habe die Klarinette fuer 6 monat gespielen. Ich bin gut aus Klarinette, ich weis warum nicht!
Spielst du ein Instrument? Ich bin nicht musicalisch aber ich kann Laerm von meine Mund machen und es ist gut!

Clarinet is very wonderful! Also I play the saxaphone. But Im not good. Ive played the clarinet for 6 months. I am good at the clarinet, I dont know why!

Ich habe 13 Jahre lang Geige gespielt. Vor zwei Jahren habe ich aus verschiedenen Gründen damit aufgehört.
Für Saxophon und Klarinette braucht man eine sehr gute Kondition. Das wäre nichts für mich. Ich bewundere Leute, die ein Blasinstrument spielen, und dabei nicht ohnmächtig werden.



I played the violin for 13 years. Two years ago I stopped out of various reasons.
You need a good physical condition (lungs) for saxophone and clarinet. That’s nothing for me. I admire people who are able to play a wind instrument without fainting while doing so.

Ich habe nie in Ohnmacht gefallen, während, Musik spielend. Messinginstrumente sind schwierig zu spielen. Sie müssen die gute Atmung für das haben. Genossen Sie, die Violine zu spielen? Kerben Sie Spiele die Violine ein und ist sehr gut. Sie spielt sie nie infront der Leute zwar.

I have never fainted whilst playing music. Brass instruments are difficult to play. You need to have good breathing for that.

Kein Grund mich zu siezen!
Ich habe sehr gerne Geige gespielt. Was meinst du mit „Kerben“? Nick?
Als ich noch Geige gespielt habe, hat man mich immer gezwungen vor Publikum zu spielen. Ich habe es gehasst! Wenn vor Aufregung die Hände schwitzen, erwischt man die Töne nicht mehr richtig! Bin ich froh, dass ich nicht mehr vorspielen muss!

I loved playing the violin. What do you mean by “Kerben”? Nick?
When I still played the violin, I was always forced to play in front of an audience. I hated it! Because of being nervous one’s hands start sweating, and then one doesn’t strike the right notes! I’m so glad that I don’t have to perform in public anymore!

Nick spielt vermutlich Geige, weil es ihr Spaß macht, nicht aber weil sie damit Karriere machen möchte. Ich verstehe das sehr gut. Man kann sich beim Geige-Spielen sehr gut abreagieren!

Probably Nick plays the violin out of fun, not in order to make a career. I can understand her very well. You can let off by playing the violin, that’s great!

Sie immer zertruemmert fast die Violine! Ich mag zu ihrem Spiel hoeren. Sie ist viel besser am Klavier jedoch und wird die vor Leuten, obgleich nicht immer spielen. Ich kann 5 angemessene Töne auf meinem saxaphone jetzt bilden.

She is always almost smashing the violin! I like listening to her play. She is much better at the piano however and will play that in front of people, although not always.
I can now make 5 reasonable sounds on my saxaphone.

Wie lange spielst du schon Saxophon? Fünf Töne ist mehr als der Durchschnittsmensch am Saxophon spielen kann! Nicht schlecht!

How long have you played saxophone? Five sounds is more than an average human can play on a saxophone! Not that bad!!!
