Ghoti Posted Jun 15, 2004
*The eel quickly swims back to Ghoti who removes the lego from the grenade. Ghoti tosses the grenade into a water-proof clam-shell for later use, before turning to his prize. A small "castle" of legos rises from the water, allowing Ghoti's humanoid form to attach this last lego to the final empty spot. Finally, all of the liquid manifestations splash back into the water, and the castle begins to sink beneath the waves....after what looks like a small goldfish swims into the castle's front door*

*the bots finish digging out Garius. They pick him up and carry him further up the beach to dry sand, then form a defensive perimeter around the whole group*
*It is no longer completely dark. As the Odradek approached the further shore, the salonistas would have noticed the faintest of glimmers of light reflecting off the wall of a tunnel mouth at the top of the beach, except that they were preoccupied with the eel and the water around them*
*But now that they are beached, it will be clear that there is a light source somewhere down that tunnel*

*unscrunches her eyes and looks around*
Time for lunch!
*notices that the bots are on orange alert*

We've got a lego castle that looks like that, in the attic.
*joins the others on the dry sand*
Is that my helmet lamp reflecting off something down there?
*points towards a tunnel entrance*

I am assuming everone has disembarked, with their gear
*Deflates the raft*

The Disgruntled Ape packed all the fresh provisions on Toby. He's in, they're in, the pocket of Destiny.

Wha?...where?....
*shakes head, spraying sand in all directions*
Wow! I remember being jerked out of the raft and landing rather hard on some sand. The next thing I remember...
*turns quickly and looks searchingly at Lil , then quickly looks away *
Er, the next thing I remember is throwing an armed mantilla comb away from me.
And now I feel like I should be marking something in my calendar for next Saturday, but I can't remember what. *looks at Lil, brow furrowed in concentration*

*Realizes that she hopped out of the raft still clutching her teacup. Stows the cup in her totebag.*
I suppose we will be heading towards the light.

*sits down to study the map*
The tunnel leads to some sort of square area. There are two exits. One is marked A.C. and the other is A.L.2.

*Stashes the raft in his pocket*
Well, we've been trying to get to AL2, let's go.

I'd feel a little safer if Garius and Affi could look in on the IIEM and make sure the Infinite Improbability engine is OK. Didn't we have a mass hallucination back on the other side of the lake? Mass hallucinations are ~so~ distracting...

*Tries to decide which part of this adventure was mass halucination and which part was real. Gives up.*
I agree with Lil that we should try the Cafe first, then head out to Admin. Level 2. I mean, I would hate to miss it, being this close.

Coniraya Posted Jun 17, 2004
Can we get from the Café to AL2, or do we have to come back through to the cave?
It's just that the watery thing might not be best pleased to see us again

No, we're done with the lake. This room shown at the end of the tunnel there *points to dim entrance* has two exits. We can go to the Aroma Cafe then head out to Admin Level 2 just by coming back into the room.
Piece of cake!
