A Conversation for FANTASY FOOTBALL - Season IX - "The Latin One"
WEEK TWENTY
GreyDesk Started conversation May 9, 2004
This is the last week of the season, and to celebrate this event you're getting all 10 matches in the Premiership. Yes that's right, after a break of some considerable time, you once again can all pick Henry as Arsenal's scorer
Man City v Everton
Portsmouth v Middlesborough
Wolves v Spurs
Arsenal v Leicester
Aston Villa v Man Utd
Blackburn v Birmingham
Bolton v Fulham
Charlton v Southampton
Chelsea v Leeds United
Liverpool v Newcastle
But wait, there's more! There is a bonus point competition this week
With a nod in the direction of WILD-BIRIYANI's idea about times that goals are scored. What I want you to do is tell me in which game out of the ten you think that the first goal will be scored. All correct predictions will attract a bonus of TWO points
I'll be using the BBC Live Vidiprinter page as the definitive source for timings. If there are two or more games where the time as listed as the same, I will then defer to the appropriate Live Text Commentary pages to get the times.
Is that all clear? Good
Closing date, as ever, 12noon on Saturday 15th May.
And the best of luck to you all
(particularly todd )

Well, I hope you'll come back next weekend to see how you did!
WEEK TWENTY
egon Posted May 9, 2004
well, maybe. And if B overtakes me I can take solace in the fact that he owes me a tenner on account of Scunthorpe beinmg crapper than Everton.
WEEK TWENTY
Ormondroyd Posted May 9, 2004
You don't expect B to pay up, do you, Egon? I'm currently growing old waiting for the fiver he owes me!
WEEK TWENTY
egon Posted May 9, 2004
Ah, but if we both attend the enxt east midlands meet, I can prise the tenner from his cobwebbed wallet.
WEEK TWENTY
Ormondroyd Posted May 9, 2004
Travelling to the East Midlands to collect a fiver might not be very cost-effective. But perhaps I'll see him in London in July.
WEEK TWENTY
egon Posted May 9, 2004
And you can charge him interest as well. Just rob his wallet, that should do it.

Number Six Posted May 13, 2004
Well, to be winning at one competition is an honour, but victory at both would just be greedy. Manchester United and Arsenal please take note
Oh, and the first goal of the day will be scored at...
*throws dart at map of the UK*
Ah. Berwick Rangers. I'd better go for the nearest ground to that, which is probably Ewood Park.
