Hey, Jodan
I noticed I was naked in your drop-down box back there, so to speak.
Well, I suppose if I have main interests they would be English social history and maritime history, but both of those have already got more learned devotees.
So I'd just put down the mad and bloodthirsty bits, ie, most of it.

Jodan, it isn't cool when you're assigned 786 pages for your own classes, 176 for the class your teaching, writing a one page review of one of the books, and racing around trying to find an obscure journal written in a language you don't know to present to another seminar.
Then, it's just a pain in the tuckus.

That's just *this* week, mind you.
Oh, and I forgot, a 2-3 page prospectus for a research paper. One where your advisor wants you to do one thing, the professor teaching the course wants you to do another, and you don't want to do either...
(can you tell it's been a very long week?)

Can I join? I haven't got 'two or three' specialists subjects though - I've only got one. London. Can I still join? What do I need to do?

Thanks very much! I've got a half started entry on a historical London figure (that no-one but Abi has ever heard of I expect). I'll have to get to work on that at the weekend.

Incidentally, particularly as Jodan's placed a similar invitation on the equivalent thread elsewhere, I should say that you're all very welcome over at A1286886 - we're in the process of deciding quite what we want to be and where we want to be going before we launch officially... and we could certainly use a specialist on London, Mina
