I don't know if anyone reads here anymore.
My Wife's Sister's son (my nephew) has just completed his history degree. They came to visit on Boxing Day and the subject of history came up. He gave me a podcast link - http://www.dancarlin.com/ the section starting with 'Blueprint for Armageddon' is a fascinating series about World War I. Fair warning each section is about 3 hours long, audio only. I have only made it through the first two chapters so far, but he is very interesting and informative.

Dan's brilliant. I highly recommend going through his back catalogue for "Wrath of the Khans," "Ghosts of the Ostfront" and "Death Throes of the Republic."
Wrath of the Khans series is currently free, but the other two are now in the paid-for archive.
