Homework is "les devoirs"
Travail is "work" , or "boulot" for job.
e.g. ce n'est qu'un petit boulot
It's only a McJob.

Hi
Depends on the context, you say e.g." À bientôt donc", which means as much as " well, see you later" but it's used as "therefore" in " Je pense donc je suis" = I think therefore I am

Bonjour.
...Ummmmm, I can't quite remember anything else in French. I can remember this annoying poem we had to recite for a poetry competition. I used to be able to speak some basic French, but a lot of it seems to have run away from me right now...

Susanne - if it ain't broke, break it! Posted Jan 31, 2004
salut, bonjour, etc.
my name is susanne, I'm german, need to practise french for school, because I have to have it in my final exams. Is someone here who's learning it at school, too? do you like it? I think it's a beautiful language and would like to understand french movies without the dubbing.

I find it more difficult to learn french than to learn english, the grammar is much more complex.do you also read books in french? childrens books are nice and easy, but I've lost my selfconfidence since I failed to understand Madame Bovary. But one day I will read Les Miserables en francais.
