More precisely, the title is: RRRrrrr!!! The movie was shot down in flames by the critics; will you tell me your opinion about it?

"Salut Pierre"
"Bonjour Pierre!" etc etc
Sure! I laughed at the trailer which went....erm...well, it doesnt really translate well, but you get it!

The trailer, for a film, is "la bande-annonce". (It is also "une remorque" if you speak of trucks.)
I've also seen the trailer and it made me laug as well.
Have you seen (has anybody seen) the film "The Car Keys"? It made me , but it didn't, er, not many people went to see it.

Unfortunately the showing was full when we got there, so we watched LOTR...again!
But we did find in the wee shop a life-sized cardboard model of Northern Ireland's finest export - Liam Neeson as Qui-Gonn Jinn in full Star Wars regalia...

At last we got to see RRRrrr!!!.
It's a bit boring, just a series of one-liners

Susanne - if it ain't broke, break it! Posted Feb 11, 2004
today, a young woman was at my school from an organisation called "france mobile", they go to schools to make french a more popular language. I thought the programm would be better for little children, not for the ones who are already learning french. but it was interesting to hear that it is good to speak french and german for a future job in the european union, maybe that would be something for me.

I am German and have posted German expressions now and then on 'official threads - not been moderated yet
I think the thing is, to put it in French/ German/whatever language and immediately put the English translation too. After all, this is the French thread, so nobody should be surprised to find French talking here

The Italics are aware of us. When we were classified on World of h2g2, I promised that all postings would be accompanied by a translation. And, as has been said in the main thread, when I update the whole system, I'm going to add a note asking people to be vigilant and to Yikes inaccurate postings/translations, so that way we can show the Italics/moderators that we're being responsible and self-regulating

Okay; thanks for clarifying that, but I did in fact translate my English comments directly into German in the same post; but it was still moderated straight away.

No... I suppose that makes a difference.

U218534 Posted May 17, 2004
I'm not sure that it should make much of a difference if you are translating, but if we get moderated here then that's a problem and I'll need to get onto the Italics... thankfully we've managed to avoid that so far

I see. Thank you. Perhaps I'll join the Language Thing a little later as I speak a little French and German but not too much.
