Right, this email...'Hi, Lil, Styx Jr and I are trapped in some purple void thing with absolutely no idea of how to get out. I am rather hoping that someone can come up with a way of releasing us...'

We need some kind of portal, but where to? We can't abandon the search for the real Affy. What else should I put in the email?

*sips her tea*

This purple void thing is where you go from the thing that captured me. I like it better. It's a holding cell of some kind. Or a holding limbo.

Did anybody else get captured? I just wonder if there's one central holding place or a bunch of individual ones and I was lucky to find Styx Junior here.

The only way anyone is going to get to us is via the Althian Bounty Hunter. I hope nobody has killed him; that would make things very inconvenient.

So *sigh* we're not likely to get rescued by anybody at the atelier. Best if we just send a message saying we wish they were here.

Can't seem to find much of a way out. I mean, I could try to blast through a wall, except there aren't any, and I don't really have much equipment.

I wish I had a teleporter. Or some way to contact Corrupt. She doesn't *usually* help me, but sometimes she does...

Tell you what, I'll send a message to the Atelier library, then you can borrow my Palm, Kudos, to try sending Corrupt an email.

As for the Bounty Hunter, he may not be in too much of a hurry to retrieve us seeing as how I shot him in the tentacles

Hey Corrupt. I'm stuck in some weird dimension or whatnot with a couple of good guys. Normally I wouldn't have you rescue them, too, but they gave me some tea and the means to send this, so it certainly wouldn't hurt. I know I don't like you and you don't like me but if you could help I'll... I'll ... ummm... dangit... give you my Invisibility Amulet, or something. Oh wait, I lost that. Or are you a mercenary, Kudos? I know that is a dirty word in some corners, but I see that even the US Govt isn't beyond using them, allegedly, and of course mercenaries are neutrals, neither good or bad. Anyway, that just depends on whose side of the fence you happen to be sitting at the time.

I suppose we could be here for some time.

Welll... actually, I've spent most of my existence trying to take over STUMPED. I'm sort of a member, except I keep getting kicked out for trying to put Krylma out of power, then reinstated at random intervals. But even though I'm looking for him... I'm not so sure if I want to take over anymore. Sure, it's great being evil and all, but it's kind of lonely acting for no one but yourself.

I guess I'm just trying to find him first so I can get the choice of what to do with him. Being a mercenary sounds like a good new career I could try, I'm just not really sure what I want to do.

What're you all in this for, anyway? I know, to find Affy, but... why? What do you get out of it?

So there's good reason to hang close to a cube, then. Because there's no reason at all to drift in limbo. What if we are all clustered about the same cube, as we are now? Do we all wind up in the same crib when that bounty hunter decides to retrieve us?

They remind me of tumblers inside a lock. And they have mass or Styxie here couldn't be on top of one. What do you have in mind?

I keep thinking of that film, The Cube, I wish my memory was better. Was there really a way out or was it a state of mind?

Is there a way we could manipulate those cubes?
