Lizard-Rat Thing-
FACE-You know, for all the times that these Salonistas have no clue who new characters are, it makes me think that maybe, just maybe, they didn't take notes when looking over that Journal entry.

Styxie, if you have qualms about going back in there, you can cover the door -- your telepathic voice would be right handy for issuing warnings! Otherwise... I need my nanogun. Witty have you got yours in your bag? I know they shrink or grow to fit the user's hand, and Styxie might like to use it.
We picked these guns up when we were on planet Elvis. It's a long story. They contain some kind of organic nanotech. You can fire pretty much anything out of them, but I've learned from experience that you don't want to fire the same thing twice. A thinking person's arms.
*illustrates by setting the dial, pointing her nanogun at the door and firing. A stick pokes out the front bearing a little flag on which is printed the word "BANG!"*

Those always amuse me!
*turns to Styxie*
Ooooooohhh right B.E.T.T.E!. I was wondering who the hell Betty was, the only one I could think of was Frank Spencer's wife, she was a saint with what she had to put up with!

*presumably accompanied by Styx Jr., Lil goes through the door and back out in less than a minute* ( F127150?thread=344520&skip=80&show=20 )
The lift has been disabled. We need to take the Ancient One up on his offer after all, if we're going to get to the bridge. And we need some time to think of a plan. We can do it while we're jogging back.

[Mog] [to Lizard-Rat Thing] Say ... Didn't you say earlier that we could call you whatever we wanted? In that case, can I call you Red XIII?

Witty Moniker Posted Nov 20, 2003
I'm a little relieved that I can keep my nanogun. The only other 'weapons' I brought are my needles and a cuisinart blade. But if the need arises, I can cope.
*Raises her eyebrows and looks at Lil over the tops of her glasses.*
I'm done running. I'll wait inside for you and Garius to get back.
*Puts her pumps back on and walks into the prison.*

I have a nasty feeling the Ancient One will give us a 'lift' by absorbing our brains .
On the other hand there may be some left.

Garius Lupus Posted Nov 20, 2003
Hey guys! The Ancient One is on our side now!
Hrmph! Too late - they've all jogged off. They must like jogging or something.
*Climbs up on top of the Ancient One.*
Okay, A1, lets head to the prison. Oh wait, here comes Lil back again. She looks a bit tired. Perhaps we could meet her half-way?

Afgncaap5 Posted Nov 20, 2003
*The Ancient One lifts into the air and shifts a bit (what other verb fits for a creature several cubic miles large?) so that he is directly above Lil. He lowers himself to make it easier for people to climb on board*
Mesa
Coniraya Posted Nov 20, 2003
You are on our side now? Rightyo then!
*uses her last remaining ounce or two of strenght left to clamber up*
Mesa
Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted Nov 20, 2003
*hops on board and looks around, curiously*
What do I see? And am I in the Ancient one or on him? Sitting or standing or clinging by my fingertips to the edge?
Mesa
Afgncaap5 Posted Nov 20, 2003
When I had posted that you could use him as a spaceship, I had meant that he could open up and allow people to go inside his shell. However, I've got the impression that GL just hopped onto him, and that's the impression that I got from everyone else as well.
So at the moment you're either sitting on him or clinging to him by fingertips.
And what you see: a vast desert stretching in every direction, with a prison complex roughly a mile away from you on the ground.

*scrabbles along the rim of the Ancient One until she finds what she hopes is a door-opening button and pushes it*
*looking beyond that section of the hull* These asteroids have such short horizons. It's most disconcerting.

Afgncaap5 Posted Nov 21, 2003
*Pushing the unusual protrusion on The Ancient One's shell produces no entrance*
Ancient One-What are you attempting?

We'd like to come in, please.
Unlike the jogging, this is very tiring.
