Tommy, now that we are in reactive/peer moderation, the moderators are unlikely to read your post. Naming them seldom brought their attention even on the BBCi message boards. However, if you go to the <./>HouseRules</.> you will see a link to the Great Debate near the top of that page.

And you can always post a new one mentioning the unmentionable, and wait for the new email

Who wants to talk about war anyway? All I was protesting about was for the right to have free speech .If we are not allowed it now ,what next will 'those upstairs'forbid us to discuss?

Good for you !! the W. of Ms. Dest. now seem to be no more than pure propoganda at its worst .
I lived with it all during the Second World War when we were spoon- fed about the atrocities carried out by the Germans and the Japanese ,which to this day have left me wary of these peoples .
Such a shame too . But it was pounded into my brain from age 9 until I was 15 .
So dont believe everything the politicians tell us .About anything .

It is not as crazy as you might think . Pizza of course is a very Italian word and we must'nt forget that Italy actually declared war on us along with Germany in 1939 (I think the year is right )

I think, Tommy, that the wariness will extend in the generation of our children and grandchildren, to Middle Eastern people on one side of the divide, and to Am*ricans on the other...
(Many people *I* know are already wary of Am*ricans..)

the Iraq policy could be what i've always thought it is, part o a huge BBC conspiracy and propaganda campaign so that we only get information from their news service, and anything not on tuat that is said on the Great debate is moderated, hence the focus of moderation.

Although I think that some censorship is inevitable in these situations (and often quite responsible) the blanket-censorship the BBC has imposed here is over-the-top, disrespectful to researchers and causing a great deal of bad feeling.
