What a Meet!

Every meet has it's own special moments and the one last weekend was no exception. From the time I stepped into the Pre-Meet pub to the time I left the hotel on Sunday it was fun and laughter all the way. I even managed to fit in a trip to the giant Star Trek experience in Hyde Park which led to some entertainment with a game of 'pass the vibrating tribble' at the afternoon event. The team I was in did spectacularly badly in the quiz - probably something to do with the consumption of real beer after 6 months away - and I was sitting right next to Bob the Farmer when he decided to moon at us all! smiley - biggrin

For those of you who like to know the happenings in more detail we have three reports in this edition and plenty of pictures are available at the h2g2 Meetup Photo Archive: London January 2003 - with even more available at the h2g2 Meetup Photos Archive homepage. Thanks are due to Croz, Gnomon and Marjin for allowing the use of their pictures in the reports.

As is evident, we have plenty to keep you busy in this edition. Ormy makes one of his promised occasional appearances to report on a worrying trend in the UK, we have exciting news from Douglas' brother, James Thrift, philosophy, comedy, cartoons, serials, fun and games and all you enjoy in your weekly newspaper.

Read and Enjoy!
