If it's really that hot in Copenhagen, I wouldn't blame Pierce for vacationing in a cooller place. Wait six months, though, and Copenhagen will seem more comfortab;e (i.e. less cold).

There are probably beautiful wildflowers there. The loons are probably there by now, and their calls can be heard across the lakes.

I didn't mean it that way. Loons are the only wildlife I can think of that might be in northern Norway now. Reindeer, maybe? Caribou? They don't make mysterious oboe-like sounds that you can hear across the lake.

Fluffy Pink Rabbit. (Remember that polyester has feelings, too) Posted Jun 28, 2011
Pierce might be able to hear the Energizer Bunny's drumbeats.

You mean you weren't the Energizer Bunny when you were younger, FPR?

Members of the rabbit community pass the baton among themselves, Amy. FPR is a retired Energizer Bunny. Someone with more *ahem* energy has that gig now.

In spite of the sun being up all the time since I arrived here last week I only saw birds up here. Except yesterday when I saw seals in the polar climate research center. A cute and very playful little one was lots of fun to watch
Am returning home today. Can hardly wait to sleep in my own bed again. One of the highlights of going away

Pierce, I refrained from asking if you saw any snowshoe hares. They are white in winter, and camouflage colors in spring and summer, so as to ensure that predators don;'t see them too easily.

I have to say, my bed is the one thing I miss most of all when I'm away. We got a lovely TempurPedic bed, and I'm completely spoiled!
Oh, and Hi!

We're going on vacation the end of July and I'm dreading not sleeping in my own bed. Last time we visited the people we're staying with we slept on the floor, that was nearly 10 years ago. There is just *no way* I could get up off the floor anymore - especially first thing in the morning (and more to the point, several days in a row!). I'm thinking of taking a camp cot (just in case).

I understand all too well. Right now I'm thinking of staying home forever
Or at least insist on staying at a hotel where I can denounce the bed without ewmbarrasing my hosts
ps: Not that there was anything wrong with my bed in the north. Except for the fact that it wasn't my own

I think my current mattress is a tempurpedic one.
I haven't done too badly with other beds when I've travelled recently. The biggest problem is hot, muggy nights when it's too hot to sleep at first.
