Hello, y'all
I'm from the southern United States. East Tennessee in fact, near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Yep, the little blinky blue ball just about hits the mark. Well, more or less. I love to read science fiction and fantasy. Currently, my favorite authors are Mercedes Lackey, Jim Butcher, and S M Stirling; however, I read other things too. I have very eclectic tastes in movies, television, and music. I'm a fan of "Star Wars", "Star Trek" (all series and all movies), "Highlander" (movies and TV series), "Stargate SG-1" (again both), and "Stargate Atlantis", "CSI", "ER", "NCIS", "Farscape, "Lost", and anything with Harrison Ford, Adrian Paul, or Peter Wingfield in it. There are LOTS of others, but you get the idea. I did have a named Van, and I guess you could say that he is a charter member if not the Charter Member of P.U.D.D.I.N.G.'s Disgruntled Dogs' Den. P.U.D.D.I.N.G. already had a Cantankerous Cats' Corner, we (Van and I)thought it only proper that dogs have a place too. Van and my older Luke are no longer with me. The early spring of 2007 was very difficult for the canine members of our household. Now I only have one about the place. Peanut is a Chihuahua, or at least that is what we were told when we bought him. I think the breeder lied. He MAY be part Chihuahua, but there is some type of Terrier in there too. I'm old enough to remember John Glenn's FIRST trip into space, but not the launching of Sputnik. Which leads me to my name, Wildcat58. Wildcat is the nickname my grandfather gave me when I was born. Only he would know why. I mean, really, calling a little baby girl wildcat? But, then again, I was the first grandchild, and he did have a strange since of humor. And the year, 1958. So there.Latest Messages

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
