I'm not sure about the second point, but as to the first it seems to work, I viseted your oage and it had my name on the top

the viewer on my own page says high to me when I'm there, so its odd but it works

I'll ask a guru to swing by and help with your astrix or apostroph or whatever delema in a few moment's time

i can assure you that your tag works perfectly..

as the name of whoever visits your space appears to them, the same happens when you look at your space: _your_ name appears to you... so everything is fine..

for the rest, it could be that when we use GuideML, we add amp to & [&amp] to make it look like & on our pages... but for this one i would rather wait for spook's confirmation..

Welcome to h2g2!

In answer to your 2 questions:

1. This has been already answered first, but basically, whoever looks at that page sees their name in that space, which is why you see yours. you can check this out by logging out of h2g2 then looking at your page again, and it will have 'Unknown Hitchhiker' instead of your name.

2. The reason your apostrophes and things are coming out as funny symbols is because you are using a program like Microsoft Word to type everything into your computer, then copying it over to the h2g2 box. To avoid this problem, copy the text into a program such as notepad first, then copy it from there to the h2g2 box. then the apostrophes will look like apostrophes.

I too am obsessed with the colour Blue!(well I don't like blue eyes though. I did not find Blue eyes in your list of 101 blue things. Unto spook?)
