Our library election is close enough that I am in full pacing mode. I can't think of much else right now.

I just got off the phone with our political strategist - well what passes for one in WC. 
And he thinks our main opposition is coming from the crowd at the Main Street Tavern. Apparently they have figured up how many bottles of beer they could buy with the proposed increased tax. 
Who'd have thought if I was nore of a bar fly we'd be a shoe in. 
Good grief!

The "worry, pace, fidget you come by naturally. Dad nearly wore a path in the carpet with his pacing.
The election coming up would do that to one. 
Especially since one of your illustrious? board members bad mouths all ideas for improvement.............read Smellfungus.

One of our borrowers suggested we should have a bar in the library. I quite like the idea

Is it too late for a bit of counter-strategy? Suggest to the wives, families and girlfriends of the bar-flies that more beer is not a good idea.

Maybe you can get the bar owner to offer drink specials all day on election day. Then perhaps the barflies will forget to vote.
