...and me
AW
I decided to leave out the bit about Charles wishing he was a tampon, (which you brought up)from the entry......though I was sorely tempted to put the whole transcript in, I didn't think the Eds would be best pleased

Hey AW! I'm so sorry I missed your birthday (although I have it marked on my calendar). I just haven't been here much this week, as I've been busy at w**k. So here's belated birthday

I think I've *been* to some of those places.
It's amazing where a rabbit hole can lead. Just ask Alice.

It was a sixties song, I think by Jefferson Airplane, based Alice in Wonderland, she starts off going down a rabbit hole. But I think the song had a bit to do with drugs

A *bit* to do with drugs?!
Yeah, it was by Jefferson Airplane, 1967. It was actually called White Rabbit, but the line Go ask Alice was repeated several times during the song.

"Go ask Alice" was also the title of a book, which was about the drug scene.
I have my *own* song version of Alice in Wonderland, in a condensed version for telling to tots:
This is the story of Alice in Wonderland.
Alice is bored, so she falls for a bunny.
She meets a Mad Hatter she can't understand.
It's a tale that's peculiar, without being funny.

I remember reading that book as a teenager ... I recall the part about the acid trip in which Alice thought she was covered by, and being eaten alive by worms.
The worms crawl in, the worms crawl out, the worms play Pinoccle on your snout ...
