h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Fro the point of view of the mouse in my kitchen cupboard last night, things were looking bright as the mouse skittered to the edge of the box of Weetabix. Then, alas, mousy became hopelessly caught in the glue trap that was *next* to the box.

The spaceship was travelling through the a dark and empty universe which showed no sign of any extraterrestrial civilisations. It filled those on aboard with a combination of dread and relief while others felt dismayed and depressed.

Old Mother Hubbard
Went ot the cupboard
To fetch her poor doggy a bone.

When she got there,
The cupboard was bare,
For this was the Twilight Zone

Life has become more stranger than usual, where the never-ending darkness combined with a dense purple fog, that's spreading all through the northern hemisphere. Demonic gigantic creatures where are coming out of the rivers, seas and ocean, smashing and throwing everything in sight, causing an unending mayhem and chaos all through the villages, towns and cities as they travelled throughout the globe, spreading as much destruction and disorder.

I read your story. The lack of verbs in your sentences was quite horrifying.

Whilst investigating the death of a local gardener, an eccentric quantum physicist called Sarah Pinkerton uncovers a legend about a supernaturally-cursed, revolving door circulating throughout haunted building. As soon as anyone uses the door, he or she has exactly 300 days left to live.

I was running a life-threatening fever but was found in time and cared for by and and was let to believe that I had been saved.

But then they put me in a hospital bed in a corner that was 90 degrees ...

Doctor: The good news about your condition is that it can be cured by a medication that will be available eight days from now. The bad news is that you have only seven day to live.

The doomed few appear to be ordinary people during day to day life, but when photographed, they look shrivelled at midnight, every night. Those who are marked from the sudden sight of a camera as they become overcome with fear and dread, when their bodies are frozen in time.

- Doctor, is it true that cameras add weight to your body, like some film stars claim?

- Yep - and you've obviously been photographed way too many times ...

As Sarah got hold of the door, as she refused to believe in the superstition. A collage of images flashed into her mind: a fearful bat balancing on top of a scared gardener, an old newspaper headline about a crashed accident, a possessed hooded snake ranting about the floating severed head she found in the cellar and a 3 mile deep drinking well located in this grand haunted house garden.

The floating severed head finally sank. Unfortunately, it landed in my coffee.

When Sarah noticed that the gardener’s eyes had owl-like properties, as he began swivelling his head all around to the back. His face looks shrivelled and that there were many coloured feathers that started appearing from the back of his head.

This eerie face just kept staring at me!

I climbed the steep mountain path for hours so that I could ask the guru at the top for guidance. When I got to the gurus door, a saw a sign that said, "Closed, see our new office at the bottom of the mountain."

Henry Jones examines the door and willingly submits himself to the curse. He finds the fearful bat balancing on a scared gardener particularly chilling. He joins the queue for a supernatural death.
