Chloe Danvers became trapped in an unstable temporal flux which shifted her out of the time line. As the temporal anomalies became more unstable, she came across her friend Melinda, the astronomer who was in a very distressed state.

Great globs of greenish-yellow mucus were falling from the sky, to a depth of at least a foot. When I called the weather station to find out how to cope with this, they said, "This is just the beginning of a six-foot storm."

There seemed to be something moving inside the bag of potato chips I took from the shelf in the store. I should have suspected something, for when I got the bag home and opened it, the chips didn't go into my mouth, but applied themselves directly to my hips.

She joins the queue to discover the cause of the temporal anomalies which causes warp when there is an emergence of alternate realities. The strange anomalies in the weather throughout Northumberland spread throughout the British Isles and Ireland.

There were 15-20 foot snow drifts in lowland and coastal areas and it was much higher in the hilly and mountainous areas of Ireland and the UK. It started on the first day of December where continuous heavy snow fall even affected all the cities, towns and villages; where the worst hit was London and the whole of the M25.

This was caused by time-slips where large amounts of Irish and British were either stuck in the winters of 1947 and the winter of 1962 to 1963 that both merged to a mega snowy winter that lasted until May as the two time areas merged with the little ice age event of the 16th and 19th centuries. She joined the ever growing mile long queue to discover the cause of the meteorological and temporal anomalies which caused warping of reality due to the emergence of various time-lines.
