Well, up yours then. You cannot possibly be saying I'm the most geeky researcher around here.

Of course not. I'm just poking fun at you for the sake of it.

Bah. She was a pushover in any case. All I had to do was drop a flattering comment (by no means lying, by the way), and she went all girlish and giggling on me.
Others aren't so easy...

Back to the point . . .
Ahem.
(To the tune of 'Alfie')
Oojathinkyouare, Goshooo?
C'mon, it's not a bad name. A youthful folly, perhaps, but not to be regretted. To be cherished, like all our youthful follies

..And just think how much room he'd have to put in "extras", like his favorite lines from songs, if he'd go back to the short and simple Gosho!

Oh I don't know. I was always a bit ambivalent about having another researcher with my name incorporated into theirs.
As long as he's around, he'll be Gosho to those who want him to be Gosho.

Well, I hope he won't change his name to Fluffy Pink Rabbit, because that would confuse me terribly.

As far as I can recall, the fan clubs were more popular with females than males. Are you female, then? (Please don't be insulted if I am wrong to ask this question, it just narrows the field by 50% regardless of which way it comes down )

I'll sign the petition to have Gosho/Oojakapiv keep one name, though I don't particularly care which one it is. I got to know him as Oojakapiv, so that's actually the name I'm more comfortable with.
But surely it's his name to decide on himself? I mean, he's the one with access to his preferences.

>>I was around during the heyday of the fan clubs<<
Gee, well, by that criteria you could be me!
Or Ottox!
Or TJ!
Or BobNElly!
Or Sarge!
Or even... Uncle Heavy!!!
You could even be Gosho
But you couldn't be Oojakawhammy, he wasn't around back then.
Did you actually have a fan club, or were you just around?

It was a sad day for me when Gosho changed his name to Oojamaflip. It was a really cloudy Sunday morning and I was in work ridiculously early when a message from someone I didn't know claimed to have formerly been called Gosho. I'm all for freedom of choice, but to go from the delightful simplicity and punch of a name like Gosho to something I can never remember past the 'Ooja' seemed a retrograde step.
I hereby add my name to the clamour to persuade this fine chap to return his name back to the delightful 'Gosho'.
PS Are we allowed a rock concert and march on Austin?
