The Fountain

Ahem...
The fountain is on Batty's veranda
and attracts all types (such as pandas)
We've filled it with beer
which has caused many a cheer
But at this moment it seems to be abandoned!

I'm surre no one *wanted* to abandon
you. It's just that I have this demon boss
who seems to think up new projects in
her sleep. She just dashes off "a few notes"
which run to two singlespaced pages. It's
just my job description, "nothing I can't do."
Ya, right! 
Some of the stuff on it was
never really done well by the people who
used to work there. I pointed this out.
Ha, ha, I've met walls that were better
listeners!
Your poetry is not that bad, Michele.
Your guitar playing has the potential to
blow a fuse, not that that wouldn't be
welcome.
