Anything you want, you've got it!
Batty, we've got to build up your strength before your next trip to the place with the big scalpels and the badly-designed gowns.
What else can we get for you? Think hard!

Now there's a thought! Erasers in
I go back under the knife next Friday (August 6th) and will probably be in hospital to recover for a day or two at least (according to my surgeon's nurse). They have the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept on - even with all the festive pharmaceuticals in me.
The good news is I shouldn't have to endure another nuking. At least for a few months.

I still think you should get that in writing. It's a pretty slippery slope that you're on, Batty. They've got to nail this thing. There's a lot riding on it.
I wish we had more info about how Pandora is doing.
Why do so many of my Hootoo friends have to get sick?

Batty_ACE Posted Jul 28, 2004
Actually that's why they're doing this surgery. My scan showed "stuff" in my lymph nodes (the few that are left in my neck anyway). The only other thing to show up is where they removed my thyroid, which was expected. If this cancer is in my lymph nodes I'm much happier to think of them in the garbage instead of in the
Don't worry Paulie. I'll be okay. I'm not ready to go without a few more pub crawls. Besides - PC has already told me I'm not allowed to go. He wants me around a long time.

aye
the interesting thing is that while love seems to cure a lot i seem to get sick from almost every pub crawl
how can that be, you reckon

Pub crawls...Can`t think of `em without a somehow deep seated sense of anticipation.
And I`ve never been disappointed yet!!
(It`s in the genes, y`know...)
Know what you mean about our poorly friends, Paul. Wish we could DO something, instead of just waiting around for the next blow to fall...

Still enjoying it, playing reasonably well
Beginning to think I`ll never make the professional ranks, but, hey, I am 98

I must be dyslexic Wolfie. I could have sworn you were only 89.
Actually I do have good news of a sort. While this surgery will be a bit more intense than the others were it should pretty much get rid of anything else. My cancer scan showed the rest of me as okay.
I've also been advised by both my doctor and my surgeon that the cancer in my lymph nodes won't lower my odds for survival. This cancer isn't very aggressive but it does go into the nearby lymph nodes quickly. Either way I'm still only at stage 1.
I'll be home from work for at least a week or so after the surgery. My surgeon says 6 weeks are the approx. recovery time but there's only so much soap operas and Jerry Springer a can tolerate before taking hostages. At least the pharmaceuticals will be fun.

Batty, let's skip to the important stuff: How3 soon can you drink again after the surgery?
Lurcher, I didn't know you were 98. . Did you know Harry Lauder? What was he like?

Never had anything to do with the barbarians north of the border, Paul, not even Sir Harry
We built a big wall to keep `em out, but they still keep getting in somehow. Still, as long as they keep making malt whisky, I suppose it`s tolerable.
There`s a new McLurchers nearly ready, Batty, guaranteed to replace dodgy nodes (of the lymph variety)with all new singing and dancing models.
Speaking as the purveyor of this wonder malt, modesty forbids further comment. Other than, I`ve personally thoroughly tested it, adn ti wercs vyry wel.............
