Yup, you better dole it out carefully. Maybe you could just be in a really good mood instead of full-out deliriously happy? I know it's a step down, but I'm only thinking of your energy output dear, it must be quite a drain to laugh that hard 24/7!

Actually, we've had phenomenally nice weather for the last couple of months. That's the main reason for my high spirits.

We enjoyed a fabulous fireworks display last night at the park!
I havn't seen "real" fireworks for a number of years. Mostly because of the lines to get in and out of the places displaying them. I usually watch them on TV. But a friend of ours who has her horses stabled on the grounds of one of the largest parks nearby invited us to go out to the stable grounds and have a barbeque. Unfortunatley, they had all of the side roads closed off, and we had to go through the main part of the park to get to the stables. But we got there just as the line started forming (around 6:45pm) so we only had to wait in line about 10 minutes to inte the park. We had a glorious view and a lot of fun!
They ended about 10:30 pm, and then it took 45 minutes in line just to get out of the park again, but well worth it! It really scared the horses though and and they stampeded down to the other end of the pasture (there were about 50 of them). In the next field over - there were approximately 20 deer grazing. They disappeared rather quickly also once the fireworks started!
They also had activities all around the city celebrating the 200th anniversary of the Lewis & Clark expedition.

Well, those had no class, then. They *should* have enjoyed those fireworks.
As for the , now you know how to make them go away: just set off some fireworks.

it is a most disturbing fact however, how few daughters-in-law realize that they have become mother-in-laws
it seems to totally erase enormous parts of their memory

We didn't watch the fireworks this weekend. We just kind of stayed in curled up on the sofa.
I haven't met PCs mom yet. She lives in another state. We have spoken on the phone though and she's very nice.
My mom, on the other hand, is crazy about PC. As is my Jewish mother in NYC. So I guess that must say things are good.

wot? you have both a mom, a mother-in-law and a jiddische mama
my mother wasn't too fond of neither her own mother nor her mother-in-law. criticized them all the time for meddling in her affairs and such.
she seems to have totally forgotten how annoyed she was by them - because now she does exactly the same (meddling, that is) - only worse - to both her children and children-in-law
strange, init?
no wonder four of her children moved to another country
oh, well
ps: speedy recovery,

If your mother is that good at getting people to leave, maybe she should consider a career as a bouncer at a nightclub.

Heights? No problem.
But I`m not parachuting from some ridiculous altitude, just to effect an illegal entry.
I know when I`m not wanted..

Poor wolfie.
What makes you think you aren't wanted? Even Whitey Bulger is wanted, and he's a hit man, for goodness sake.

The only similarity is the medication we`re both on.
At least, I "think" that`s the only similarity.....

What do you mean you're not wanted. I want you here, Wolfie.
Yup. I have a mom, in-law and Jewish mother. When I moved to NYC I was informed by my old bosses mom that EVERYONE needs a Jewish mother. She promptly adopted me and gave me the Jewish name of Dahlia. She is, to this day, considered my Jewish mom. PC and I went to NYC and she is the one that threw the cocktail party for all my local friends to come and all of us to enjoy a quiet evening of and snacks..
