Quest for the Hammer of Light
iaoth Posted Jul 26, 2001
Hmm, I think you should create a character and specify what race, class et cetera you intend your character to be ~before~ you join an adventure. Otherwise you'll probably upset YK, who's pretty much in charge around here. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have another player in this adventure (I'm more or less in charge in this thread... more or less... I came up with the story, anyway.), but you should specify some stuff beforehand so there's no confusions and stuff...

Ok, what's Lizzy doing here? Have you read the backlog? Has she been sent by that "shoddy church"?

How should /I/ know?? I'm not Dr. bloody Bernovski!!
Oh, by the way, I've merged Red and Yellow magic, and they're now just one kind, because they amounted to the same thing.

I was asking Lizzy. I was referring to her PC when I said "Lizzy". I can see how that might be confusing. So... Lizzy. Have you thought of a reason why your character is here?

So how come the new type isn't called Orange Magic? Seriously thought, I always thought Yellow was time magic and Red was physical/psychic kind of magic.

Well, Black and White magic are supposed to affect HP based on user's Attack over target's Defense, physical or magical. Red and Yellow magic do things that so-called "real" magic does, such as messing with time and turning people into frogs (or Kappas; see my list of spells. There's a link to it on my front page). Basically, a better term for it would be "Effect Magic".

Ok.
Why has the role-playing stopped in this thread? YK, Lizzy just came along, riding her horse. She said hi. Your cue.
* Azrael is still unconscious (probably since no time at all has passed -- duh!). *

Yeah, when he comes to.
[Ribald] I am Ribald, warrior extraordinaire! You cannot HOPE to defeat me in combat! I cannot possibly lose! PHEAR MY 1337 SKILLZ!
[A gloved hand appears in a puff of smoke, slaps Ribald in the face seven times for saying something as noronic as that, and then disappears.]

Well if he said it like /that/, the glove would have killed him. Besides, Ribald gets /everything/ except fighting and summoning (magicite) wrong.
