h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I love the manchester museum there is so much to see,
last time I was there they were renovating one of the floors though

I love the Lowry so much I got married there

Must have been a weird ceremony.

"Do you, Pastey, take this Millennium-funded arts centre on the Manchester Ship Canal to be your lawful wedded wife?"

Got married there, not got married to it, you numpty

It's a lovely building though, I love all the vibrant colours and angular architecture. So utterly completely different from any other venue that does weddings.
The photographer we hired had a field day, made so much difference to the wedding photos too!

Now less than a week to go. I can almost taste the , smell the rain and hear the conversations.



'Oh to be in Manchester, now that April's here!'

Isn't the weather forecast pretty nice? I know it's Manchester, birthplace of rain, but I'm hoping for a bit of sunshine.

So am I. And umbrellas are a real nuisance.

However, if Mancunians can weather it, so can I.

Sorry for my tardiness, been swanning off around Rome

The forecast for Wednesday is showers and sunny spells. Or as we know it, they haven't got a clue and are making it up!

Just realised, I've not warned the pub that we're coming!

Shouldn't be a problem on a Wednesday evening, but it's only common courtesy to, might have to pop in for a drink tomorrow

The pain and hardship you put yourself through for h2g2 is over and above the call of duty. We salute you.

Not going to get a chance to pop into Font to warn them I'm afraid. However we should be fine.

Saying that, do we actually have a bit of a role-call of who's attending?

I'm going. Even though it's an absolute mooch.

I'll be there. I like that Font has become the hootoo bar of choice, me and that place enjoy a storied history.

For the smaller, more frequent meeting type gatherings it's Port Street, but for the larger Font is pretty damn good.

I'll be checking the train times from my end, intend be there around 6ish. I wouldn't have a clue how to get to Port Street, but I think I can remember where Font is...hopefully.

I'll be there. Due into Manchester at 14:00, then book into the hotel. Shall aim for The Font for 18:00. Shall probably meander around Manchester Museum until then.

Pleased it's not Pont Street, as it's not MMF-friendly, step-wise.
