The basic problem, which so far defies any and all solutions, is that I'm basically lazy. I'm also acidically lazy, but that doesn't seem to cause as many problems.

the only real problem I have with Pliny is that you can't go to the first new post in a thread. And that's a very useful feature not to have. If you see what I mean.

Or am I missing something?

It all seems rather a palaver really. Wouldn't it be simpler to have a "like" button, as they do on the internet?

"like" button - yeah - then enhanced (as & when time allows)

but Not instead of 'last unread post', shirley?

But in a really long post there would still need to be a way to indicate which bit you would like to nominate for QotD, as well as which post the Quote comes from. Streamlining that would require some thought and work, I suspect.

Despite all previous statements to the contrary, and being completely inadequate to the task, I now sit at the end of the [email protected] email address.

I shall be compiling my first list of Quotes for the Front Page this evening, so if there's a Quote you want to see being given Front Page glory, send it in today!

You don't need to re-submit Quotes, but if you did that would certainly make sure that I don't miss them in the backlog.
