I did get it once, but found using a softer toilet tissue resolved the issue.

Once again a clueless Westerner simply doesn't get ninjas... all joking aside the reason why you never saw ninjas is that 99% of the time they were dressed like everyone else. Wearing black for nighttime concealment? What an eejit... dark blues, greys and greens, mate. That's how you do it. Not standing under streetlights also helps.
So yeah, people who actually bother doing proper research and people who don't.
