OMG - have you seen the new Google Doodle?

Thanks. I didn't know about the "I'm feeling lucky" thing. That's cool.
It seems that once they get to the logos page, some of the doodle lose their functionality. I'm pretty sure that the Earth day doodle had some animation when you mouse over it.

May 2nd 2011.
A rare day!
Canada got its own doodle.
There's a Federal election here today.
The doodle shows a row of voting booths
with the letters in them and with curtains
drawn over the letters so that only bits
of them show below the curtains.
Interesting.
And so very rare for Canada to get one of its own.
Let's just hope we get a good result at the polls.

'Let's just hope we get a good result at the polls.'
The best possible result would be a startlingly high turnout. That's at the top of my wish list.

It celebrates the birth of Les Paul. As far as I'm aware, it just plays what you play on it.

>>On Thursday, June 9, 2011, Google celebrated the 96th birthday of jazz and country guitarist Les Paul with an interactive guitar that can be played, and includes the ability to record and playback.

When you're done recording, click on the black rectangular RECORD button again to get it to stop. It should then display a URL (like http://goo.gl/doodle/gkjt ). Just click on the black |> triangle beside the URL and it should play.

Another showstopper. Freddie Mercury in all his gay glory.
I never realised what a fan I was until he died.

I clicked on the doodle and watched the animation all the way through. At the end, I just said 'Wow!' I've seen some good doodles, but that's the best by a long way.

He would have been 65 today if anyone is wondering why it's Freddie today.
Hard to believe it's 20 years since he died.
