Yeah, if you like ...
The OT is quite an old scripture, although basically true/correct, it is not completely reliable, IMO.

"Modern scholars believe that the Hebrew Bible, or Tanakh, was composed by four or five writers between 1000 to 400 BCE based on much older traditions. The New Testament was composed by a variety of writers between 60 to 110 CE. The contents of the New Testament were formalized by Athanasius of Alexandria in 367 CE, and finally canonized in 382 CE."
**The Qur'an is the primary text of Islam, revealed to the Prophet Muhammed beginning in the year 610 C.E. It was canonicalized between 644 and 656. The Qur'an is required reading for anyone who wants to understand Islam. Qur'an means "The Recital" in Arabic; according to the story, the angel Gabriel commanded Muhammed to "Recite!".

OT is a 'rewrite' of old scriptures, very interesting and a lot of relevant information/narratives.
Not a good idea to take them literally or as historically accurate without further more recent knowledge from that of NT or Qur'an.

This is pretty much why I don't take scripture at face value. The only way to know if it is true/good writing is comparing it with evidence, logic, and personal experience. Did the Israelites cross the Red Sea on dry land? I don't know. Honestly I don't think anyone could say for sure. It is pretty hard to find proof for or against this. Someone recorded it, but were they reliable? Someone eventually declared it god's word. Are they reliable? Even if they are, why should we trust what someone says is god's word?

Nah, he's hugely entertaining! Just read the twists of illogic as he tries to justify the unjustifiable!

I kinda hoped he stayed in Gaza.
Now we know what kind of company Warner keeps online.

Yes, you'd probably prefer him "as a jew", wouldn't you Clive ...
The closer one gets to the truth, the more satan becomes enraged and plots his distractions and division.
11 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain,
12 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants)
13 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word,
14 It is no pleasantry.
15 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad)
16 And I plot a plot (against them).
17 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while.

Clive,
Of course he would seem 'bigoted' to you, as he's been blessed with considerable religious knowledge.
'Political baggage' is something that everybody carries, some more than others, admittedly.
