I looked into it.
The pacific Coast of Canada is subject to major earthquakes - granted you said inland but even there canadians are subject to violent windstorms, wildfires and even has active volcanoes.

To all hootoos.
There is no safe place on this planet of ours.
The geologic record proves this.
It would only take the collision of a 150 metre diametre rock, travelling at 25,000 Kilometres per hour to collide with the Earth, ANYWHERE to send us back to the stone age.
Anywhere safe on Earth???
NO!!

What about some place like Maryland? There's rain, but most hurricanes don't reach that far north. No earthquake faults, low tsunami risk, relatively mild winters... their biggest nuisance is cicadas every once in a while.

You mean these?
"ci-ca-da
Pronunciation [si-key-duh]
any large homopterous insect of the family Cicadidae,
the male of which produces a shrill sound by means of

I wonder if there is a list of likely targets in the event of a nuclear strike?
Something tells me the Eastern Seaboard of the U.S is right near the top.

You wouldn´t want to be in the US anyway. Even without all the natural disasters, we also know that when aliens invade, they go there first.
