We all ready for the new series? smiley - smiley

My money on first-to-be-fired is Belfast Ben, who thinks that making money is better than sex...

Didn't really watch last series but might watch this one. It can be interesting to watch as as Sir Alan just said, even the most calm and level headed person can crack up under pressure of time, even the armchair critics of the show although they think they can do better.

Well, the one they got rid of was a bit of a wally, mind you her team leader was all talk and nothing else, what was her name Mona or Moaner, lol!

It was a bit bland last night I think. But then it always needs a couple of programs to warm up as we don't know 'em yet.

The asian bloke with the beard. "Not that I'm sexist but cleaning must be easy if my wife can do it." smiley - rolleyes

As a thought on their budget problem. Seeing as noone in their team knew one end of a pressure cleaner from the other I can think of one major place where they could have saved money. smiley - winkeye

I think the one sacked was a bit hard done by myself. Her problem was not fighting her corner in the boardroom I think.

Still it wasn't a desperately interesting episode really. There wasn't really all that much of a comedy disaster amongst either team and the girls were a bit unlucky to lose to be honest.

I liked when Mona gave her pep talk at the start - "Come on, we HAVE to beat them, it's cleaning!"....and nearly said (and we're wimmin) smiley - winkeye

I think Mona definitely should've got the boot last night but yer one who did was still a good choice based on her apparent uselessness and generally miserable appearance!

Ah the warm glow of self righteous judgement I always get from watching The Apprentice smiley - zen

The 3 were as useless as each other. Difference was certainly that Sir Al prefers someone that will at least try to defend themselves.

How many series have seen a lawyer fired in the first episode? I'm pretty sure this is at least the third.

I always find the first episode dull, though the girls seem to be imploding earlier than usual. Loved Adrian Chiles on You're Fired.

Adrian Chiles is great in that, much better than on The One Show!

I might have a go at the predictor thingy tonight.

Mmmm, tempting. But the series might be a bit too short.

I'd still like to see the odd mole thrown in. An 'everyman' in executive clothing.

This must be the dimmest bunch of blokes yet. They've also got the worst dress sense yet, not a snappy suit amongst them. And, imagine serving a reception for Chicago lawyers dressed up in badly fitting togas, just dumb.

What a sales team. They're told to negotiate no lower than £65 per head and cut a deal below £15. I'd have sacked the salesman.

I wonder if the sly and back-stabbing nature of the girls would be any more inspiring if they could do carry it with some charm.
The "I can't be trusted, but don't worry I'm only dangerous to myself and other neaderthals" isn't working for me.

I'll be watching tonight while I sort through three year's worth of receipts... Strangely a job I dont mind doing. I quite like creating order out of chaos and filing things logically.

I do think it's funny how all the apprentices are still supremely confident of their own infallibility despite recent events in the worlds of finance and business...

I've a horrible feeling that James will be with us for a while because he's gobby, bitchy and thick - it's like that Katy freak but with a Y chromosome.

The women have yet to separate into individual personalities, they're still an amorphous, whingy blob.

"is it just me, or is this lot the ugliest bunch of repugnant candidates ever?"

To soon to be sure yet. It will take a few more weeks to see if they can really be worse than the last season bunch of spanners.

"I've a horrible feeling that James will be with us for a while because he's gobby, bitchy and thick - it's like that Katy freak but with a Y chromosome."

Could so. Though it could be as much a case of stay of execution by means of others showing themselves up as even more of a liability to a business.
