Relax, we need some information first...
I like:
Tea
My wee car
The Lib Dems
Drinking
Talking sh*te
The way the world smells clean and fresh after a huge downpour (really only get this in the country)
Also the way it feels fresh and lovely after a thunderstorm (esp compared to the sticky horrible way it feels beforehand)
Having an argument (as long as it doesn't get too unnecessarily aggressive)
Getting lost in a book to the point where I'm oblivious to everything else
Playing Campaign on a well-known free games site
Playing bubble-shooter on a different site
Discussing the strangeness of my family with my little brother (and our sensibleness <heh heh heh> in comparison)
Stephen Fry
Watching the gaa
Watching rugby
Having nothing to do and a whole day to do it
A nice cup of tea and a sit down
Sleep
When I happen across something that's pretty or just looks *wow*
Discworld books
The Apprentice
Scrubs
Greenwing
House (it helps that Hugh Laurie is yum!)
Hugh Laurie ;)
CSI - but only the Vegas one
The US Office
Blackadder
Father Ted
Top Gear
Th Flight of the Conchords
UC Men's Octet - you tube these dudes, they're frickin marvellous!
Jodi Picoult books
Glory Days - Bruce Springsteen
Gangsta's Paradise - Coolio
Angel of Harlem - U2
Jackson - Johnny Cash
Ants Marching - Dave Matthews Band
Death of a Clown - The Kinks
Paperback Writer - The Beatles
Fisherman's Blues - The Waterboys
A Town called Malice - The Jam (was number 1 at a very important time in my life!)
The Usual Suspects
Brilliant Disguise - Bruce Springsteen
Harvest Blues Festival in Monaghan (not for the music so much as the... there's no other way to say it - for the vibe man! )
I dislike:
When people mistake my curiosity for something sinister and get all defensive instead of explaining
"dance music" IMHO you cannot dance to it and it is not music (with one or two exceptions)
The random sense of foreboding and utter dread that creeps over me every now and again
That I haven't won the lottery yet - I was made for a life of leisure
Dirty Dancing - I've never managed more than about half an hour of it
Lord of the Rings/Hobbitry in general - I've only watched the 1st LOTR film (btw anyone know how you go about getting 3 hours of your life back?) and of the books I've only read The Hobbit, I only finished it because I refuse to let any book defeat me!
People thinking that Harry Potter books are just as good for grown ups - no. They're not. (NB this doesn't mean I don't think they're good books)
Monaghan playing Kerry... it's just not good! To quote the manager "like having heart surgery without anaesthetic"

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
