Getting that to number one is a bit too juvenile for my tastes personally but I can see the funny side too.

Freedom of speech until it clashes with state ideology. The ideology from Westminster is that Margaret Thatcher "saved" Britain.

I'm with this being played.

If you're going to do the chart show, do it. If you don't agree with it, tough.

If they do decide to not play it, then they'd blooming well better be prepared to state proper and full reasons why they won't play it, or I will also be cancelling my TV license because there's not enough on telly I actually watch to justify it if I lose faith in the organisation.

Blair's got good reason to be worried. At least Thatcher only has the left popping champagne at her demise, Blair will have *everyone* doing it.

Purely because of the heavy homosexual overtones.

Thereby guaranteeing it getting it to number 1.

And I never saw it as homosexual overtones, just sexual overtones.

OK, this story has not one but two irresistible hooks:

2. The ship chosen to be the first to house this experimental and entirely sci-fi sounding weapon? The USS Ponce. Priceless.

A 16-year-old boy describing himself as an emo was assaulted in Ashton town centre on Monday, officers said.

A 14-year-old boy and a 44-year-old man from Manchester have been arrested on suspicion of assault.

They have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

The assault is the first to be investigated as an alternative subculture hate crime.

Sadly the USS Ponce is not pronounced as you might expect - or so I've read elsewhere.

It is a remarkable name nevertheless <ok.

How is Ponce pronounced then?

If it is pronounced as the Puerto Rican city - which I suspect it is, then it is 'pon-say'.
