A train company has been criticised for producing an Olympics security poster which reads as "gibberish" in Arabic. [...] the Council for Arab-British Understanding called the Arabic lettering "ridiculous" and unreadable since the characters are not joined up and are back to front.

The North Korean women's football team walked off the pitch at their Olympic match in Glasgow after their images were shown on a screen beside a South Korean flag.

Now that really, really riles me up.
So, to spend shedloads of money for security, installing missiles on private homes and enforcing ridiculous advertising restrictions ( http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2012/apr/13/olympics-2012-branding-police-sponsors ), everybody is there.
But googling a country's flag or hiring a language expert to write things properly, noooo, who needs that, let's save a couple of quids here.
Let's hope that they will get the German anthem right. Or the one from Kazakhstan.

How about hoisting a white flag for Syria?
The BBC have very kindly written an article entitled 'How to Watch the Olympics on BBC TV' just in case the viewing public had no idea how to do this:

Is this really a fair way to do business? Apparently the Windows 8 operating system is going to include a Windows store, and may provide the only way for users to download software including games.
Will users of Windows 8 accept having retail options taken away from them by Microsoft?

The Republican candidate for US President sat down for an interview and said about UK invovement in the Olympics:
"The people of the country-Do they coem together and celebrate the Olympic Moment? That is something which we only find out once the games actually begin?"
Makes you wonder doesn't it. What he might say if he actually gets the job and sits in the Oval Office.

Phew, I thought Posh had some competition; but the Beckham girl was only 16 and the only thing they had in common was Walthamstowe dogs. I'm not from London.
Her parents got a bit of a surprise when they saw her on the telly

Any theories as to why there are so many empty seats at the Olympics, and why we're not being told the reason?
What news story etc etc
You can call me TC Posted Jul 30, 2012
I read that they were seats allocated to VIPs who weren't using them, and Jeremy Hunt was going to do something about it.

The Daily Mail has this theory:

The tickets were sold; the people they was sold to just died They is occupied by spirits Hunt is really an extreme idiot example of the master race.
Saying; 'we are the masters of the universe, because we can dance very good and have a sprung floor, in the spare time we get from running the universe for up to 37 hours a week, if you ain't paying more than VAT and water rates you is going to be exterminated.'
That is the truth, such a lazy lot even the prime minister has holidays. I can't remember getting a paid holiday, Bank holidays are not holidays if your needed, and unlike office layabouts you don't get paid more.

Pirate Alexander LeGray Posted Jul 31, 2012
Today it is more about what was on tv apart from Olympics. Clearly the master race only abide by court rulings if it is in their favour.
Panorama found that although disability claimants had won court cases; this was then ignored and some unfortunately died on the way.
In fact 32 people declared fit for work, die every month.
But surely he most unfitest person for work is Duncan-Smith, since he cannot even stay in a job to live in a Council Flat for more than a couple of days without throwing a sicky with a sob story about his wife.
http://benefitscroungingscum.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/panorama-disabled-or-faking-it.html
I think it was Despatches but; I heard the ATOS trainer volunteer that she was only at ATOS because she had a unique speciality that rendered her difficult to employ. I would like to know what the speciality is because I don't believe it is medical when she can say if a claimant can move a finger then they are fit for work.
Maybe it was forensic dentistry
