>> At the 40 Olympics venues, 800 retailers have been
banned from serving chips to avoid infringing fast-food
rights secured by McDonald's. <<
Banning chips in Britain?
Never! It's unconstitutional!
There'll be riots, I tell ya!
Who was signing that contract then?
Guaranteeing such a monopoly would be illegal in America.
The Govt cannot prohibit sales outside the ticketed grounds.
Bus stops, parking lots, local off-site restaurants and cafes?
God Lord. How has it come to this.
Surely McD's do not have a vendor at all 40 venues.
And if they do it's become a public health issue, shirley.
Health and Safety to the res-queue.

"Naked Rambler" goes free from prison - and the police didn't immediately arrest him again.

You know what, well done the Police. If this guy wants to wander around starkers, let him for Bod's sake. There's more important things for us to be doing than wasting public resources restricting the freedom of a man who isn't hurting anyone.

As part of Britains war on terror, I think the home secretary would prefer everyone to walk around stark naked - especially at airports going through customs. Better that than having to ask females to remove their brasiers just in case they have a couple of bazoukas hidden away, and asking males to remove their trousers and underpants just in case they have a rocket launcher or truncheon stowed away.
I think it would be the only way to be sure of a safe terror free environment.

If I were to walk round naked, I suspect that it would INCREASE the level of terror on Britain's streets.

quotes Posted Jul 18, 2012
I think society is incorrect to object to nudity at all, since it's a perfectly natural state which we are happy to see displayed by any other animal. If we can't tolerate the thought of seeing human nudity, it's our thoughts which are the problem, not the nudity, and to demand the covering of a perfectly natural state is a form of oppression.

With the billion odd pounds the UK government is spending on security at the Olympics, it seems strange that they should be closing the forensic science archive in England and Wales: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-18880701

They is cleverer than the employers of cleaners for the Olympics; can't remember how much they pay in rent to live near the Olympic Park, was it £86 per week for sharing 25 to a portacabin with one toilet.
Even the East Europeans are going back home
Forget g4S that is just a laugh, forget specail lanes so you can't go anywhere, forget not being able to catch a taxi, just think how dirty it is going to be.
and if you paid for the opening ceremony, it is cut short so that you can catch the last train.

I can't tolerate the idea that nudity is at all natural in the British climate. If it were we'd all be a damn sight hairier.

swl Posted Jul 18, 2012
And actually, the hairy=cold argument doesn't add up. Mediterranean men and women are noticeably hirsute whilst Scandinavians have quite fine hair. And I've never seen an Eskimo with a moustache.

It mostly certainly is, otherwise I wouldn't be shortly off to spend the best part of four weeks on a naturist camp in the UK. It's central heating that made you all jessies that isn't natural
