I´ve heard from the radio that the Jubilee event has costed 15 million of Euros.

I guess that there aren´t any kind of cuts in education and other social services, and that Britain remains Great economically and the country can waste such amount of money in a glorious vanity.

oh yes Britain is obviously flush with money how else could we throw so much at the royals and the Olympics?

I had to go to a British supermarket web site to check this. I noticed in the week but couldn't remember detail.

Own brand strawbery flavoured milk - 330 ml £0.50.
Disney strawberry flavoured milk - 250 ml £1.20.

I am guessing that the only difference is a shrink wrap with a picture of a Disney princess on it.

Hardly a surprise when newly released tickets for the opening and closing ceremonies start at £995.00!! What planet are these folk on charging those sort of prices in a recession?!?

On BBC news last night, I heard "there's been an increase in a tax on guide dogs by other dogs".

Turns out it wasn't 'a tax', but 'attacks'...

I mis-heard the same article on the radio earlier in the day.

Perhaps that simply reflects out current expectations.
