heck yes...it made me want to visit central park zoo last nov.... which was a wee bit of a disappointment..as there is none of those animals there...oh except penguins... i almost wanted to complain.. but in the film you had a lion, a giraffe, a hippo etc..
still was only a few dollars to get in....

Saw Munich on Wednesday and I was really impressed, it was a good story interestingly told and without bias. Very, very powerful, especially the conversation between the Isrealis and Palestinians in Greece.
The overwhelming thought I left with was 'I have no idea how to resolve this conflict, but this isn't the way to do it'
Probably Spielberg's best

Has Proof been released in the US? Have their been any reviews on here yet?

Munich is one of the choices at the SS on Tuesday thanks Honestlago
Another is Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Costner in the follow-on from The Graduate.
Can't recall it but I would've watched that were it not for clashing with Munich.
The other film choice is "Brokeback Mountain" - anyone seen that?

I saw Rumour Has It this week. Thingie is good, Warren Beattys sister, but that's all that appealed to me in the whole film.

I want to see Brokeback Mountain and Munich, but no chance
We watched the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy last night on DVD. The Gruesome Twosome have spent all day saying 'I'm a robot, not a refrigerator'
and finally they got the 'very Arthur Dent' reference from the Christmas Dr Who.

Brokeback Mountain had brilliant performances from the whole cast.

Footbacon, do you mean Shirley Maclaine? I've seen the trailer, and she's supposed to be the "Mrs Robinson" character.
I'll see whichever film doesn't rollover to the following Tuesday, though then it'll be half-termso I'll be dependant upon a sitter.
Poor Sho will you be able to get hold of the DVDs or even rent them by post?
JEllen! Brokeback was brilliant,
but for total absorbsion you should see Geisha, when the film ended it suddenly dawned on me that I was in Cleethorpes, it was that good.
My son wants to go see Zathura - and there's a showing at 11am today so I'll be back with a full report

Blues Shark - For people who like this sort of thing, then this is just the sort of thing they'll like Posted Feb 5, 2006
In the interest of lowering the tone, and providing reports on the films other researchers don't reach, here at Chez Shark we took delivery of our much anticipated 'El Santo vs the Monsters' box set.
We watched about half of 'El Santo and the Blue Demon vs Dr Frankenstein'. Thi s has it all. Mexican wrestlers, futuristic sets, zombies, men with bad beards, men with bad moustaches. Appalling sub-titles the like of which haven't been seen since they hey-day of HK cinema. In one great package with a budget of about 50p.
All in all a stone-bonker, guaranteed classic.

Blues, I have only seen a couple of El Santo films, but I loved them! I am going to have to try to track some down, if only for rental.
The only thing I've really had time to sit down and watch this week was "The Collected Shorts of Jan Svankmajer, vol. 1", which was brilliant.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
