Don't worry, you don't actually see anything as it's all implied. Adds to the horror of it though so yeah, you might want to cross your legs if you watch

I always think that implied horror is much much worse than the graphic variety (not that I watch either)
Am currently watching Independence Day because the Gruesome Twosome have never seen it all (and I have a shiny new TV and am watching lots of BIG films so I can really enjoy it )
Tried Withnail and I. Had to give up, their squalor was making me feel ill.

I couldn't bear it. What am I missing?

it's going to take more than that to get me to look at it a second time.

"I DEMAND TO HAVE SOME BOOZE!!!"
"Monty you terrible (offensive word for lady bits)"
"SCRUBBERS!"
"We want the finest wines available to humanity. We want them here and we want them now."
"As a child I used to weep in butcher shops"
"Honestly officer, I've only had a few ales"
"I have a heart condition; if you hit me it's murder"
Shall I keep going?

it's not doing it for me.
The unadulterated grime was just too much. I really didn't like it at all

Talking of unadulterated grime, have you seen Ade Edmondson & Rik Mayall's Bottom?

that and the Young Ones make me cringe. Much as I like them

There was a pretty good one about a sympathetic zombie recently. It was called "Warm bodies."

Promised Land - Matt Damon and Frances McDormand (Fargo) in a feel-good fracking film.
Nice moral tale.

Oblivion.
A pretty decent sci fi flick.
However, possibly one of the most derivative films I've seen in ages.
There were visual gags references to Planet of the Apes, 2001: a space Odyssey, Star Wars, Aliens and The Matrix. And in terms of plot there are elements here from The Terminator, I am Legend, Total Recall and especially Independence Day.
In fact play that game as you watch it and see if you can spot any others.
but an enjoyable night out for all that. 4 / 5

"Oblivion" is playing near me. I'm not sure hat to expect from it. Is it a comedy?
Last night I saw "The Place beyond the Pines" and left halfway through it. The main character was not at all sympathetic.

I won the soundtrack to that in a Popbitch competition. I must get round to listening to it...
Last night I watched Trainspotting for the first time in years and reckon it's just as good to watch now as it was back in 1995. Love it.

I was going to see Oblivion but at the last second plumped for Olympus has Fallen because I could watch it on the vibrating, shoogly seats.
Big mistake.
Awful film, truly awful. Gerard Butler couldn't act surprised if his big toe started whistling Dixie. The plot was cliche-ridden, derivative, schmaltzy and had more holes than an Aero. Drivel, utter drivel.
And the shoogly, vibrating seats were appropriate at one point only in the film, the rest of the time they were irrelevant. And they were uncomfortable.
Not the best night at the cinema I've ever had

oh I'd go for shoogly seets for Gerard Butler.
It is a source of great consternation to me that he is so unutterably gorgeous and thus deserving of my filmgoing budget - but that he makes such shockingly awful films that I can't bring myself to do it. Even if there were shoogly seats (whatever they are)
