what does GiGaBaNE mean?
Mrs Zen Posted Jul 23, 2004
I'd agree with Az. And as Blatherskite said, nothing wrong with being 14, (other than the fact it sucks, of course).
We all had to be 14 one time or another, and most of us loathed it.
The combination of an intelligence which out-strips one's experience is even harder to deal with than the hormonal changes, and they suck too.

It isn't just the horror of reality, though. It's the grand designs.
No matter.

If you paid me a million dollars I wouldn't go back to being 14 again . . . well, okay *maybe* but not for less than a million!

Let me help you out, Gig.
Gig wants to say that we on *this* thread should perhaps all get together on the other thread he has started so as to avoid confusion and repitition.
Here is the link:

See you all there and you can pick up whatever you were talking about here over there - makes sense really.

Let's just use the 'My Conversations' links we all have, and be done with it.
What about books, GiGa? I know you don't read, but what about people who want to write?

thats all out of proportion. i mean i personally try not to read other peoples theories until i have formed my own.
that way i have a unique perspective.
once i have put myself through the mill and destroyed all of my own false hoods, then whatever is left will be both benign and unique.
i fear the indoctrination of a standard education, whilst rewarding may actually hinder a small few potential realities from appearing.
in my education system, no specific subjects are thrust upon the children. we simply try to have as many availible as possible, and customize the education to the indavidual.
yes i know all this requires a bloody lot of teachers.
i have already said how my calender would work
and each persons normal work day if they worked would be
4 days of 5 hrs each.
and the whole focus of life is about science and passing on the skills to others.
if you are a writer you will be trat like any other person
you will be provided with all the material reqirements bestowd on that class of worker, with the credit scheme allowinf full customisation of personal taste.

In its earlier stages eductation do tend to discourage individual thinking and questioning, but college level eductation does encourage and sometimes teaches thinking skills.
Ok, there are orthodoxies at all levels, and there can be 'acceptable' and 'unacceptable' ways of thinking outside the box in college as well as elsewhere.
However, the thing that makes the most difference is being able to *think*.
Reading, questioning, considering the answers, (which you plainly do), and being formally or informally challenged all help sharpen thinking skills. College provides a structure for developing them in a formal way.
Gotta go now.
