The Tanzen and Blackberry Show
JonnyMaelstrom Posted Mar 13, 2004
Oh, Blackberry/Gavin/whoever you really are. You are too kind. I actually thought they crossed over. Can I have a separate page for h2g2? It's just that "normal" people tend to laugh at my Buffy addiction and I don't want people to think I have no other interests.
Thanks for wanting to post, and I'll see if there's anyway I can make it so you can do so. I have no idea how.

So far as I can see, you have to register on TalkBuffy to post an entry to your journal. Did you have to register on H2G2 fo your first posting? (despite already being a member of TalkBuffy?)

Not quite sure how things work between the various DNA sites, then. Maybe we should ask a Guru.
Hello? Is their a Guru about? Hello?

I didn't know there were such people! We don't see them on the cult pages much! Hellooooooo?
Maybe one will be along in a minute.
I could always build myself a proper h2g2 page I suppose.

You are wise, ReddyFreddy, and are clearly a Queen fan. Thank you for your help and advice.
So what's with the lightbulbs?

Ah...long story. I'm good at changing them, apparently.
I've asked a Guru to take a shufti at this little dilemma - I'm waiting for a reply.

As far as I understand it, if you register for one DNA site you can post to any of them, but your journal entries will always be marked as being from the site you originally signed up with. You can, however, use the GuideML SITEFILTER tag to display different content on your personal space depending on which DNA site it's visited from - see <./>GuideML-SITEFILTER</.> for more info.

Ah, yes, the joys of living in the 21st century. Ten years ago we wouldn't be dealing with this and our lives would have been just as happy.

Thanks, Mr Guru man/Guru lady. The thought of using any kind of clever trickery sounds both time consuming and scary though I may tackle it one day soon.
But MuseSusan - our lives would have been as happy?? I don't know. Ten years ago I didn't know how to make smiley faces appear on a computer screen where people from all over the world can see them. .
And they say people only use the internet for porn!!

video recorders, remote controls etc etc
I'd become a lighthouse keeper but they've automated all the lighthouses

The electronic age...a constant reminder that I'm just a lightning rod with hair...
And aye, it's true that our lives (arguably) would've been just as happy...but I wouldn't have known anywhere near as many people with accents as I do now !
What in your music collection do you hide when "cool" people visit?
Merci_ME Posted Mar 15, 2004
I don't hide anything. I admit, it's highly unlikely "cool" people visit me. I have fairly unusual tastes for the community I live in. The people I think are "cool" are likely to be as unusual as me, or not. Try this - you might have something the rest of the world is waiting to hear. You might be cooler than you imagine.
