I've come across very few really disgusting personalities on the web. unfortunately the originator of this thread appears to be one of them.
I don hope that s/he is just mouthing off for the sake of it and does not hole those thoughts as ideals. But if so then

Reality makes it a requirement for any orgainism to adapt to it's environment the best way it can. In the case of humans each distinct 'race' came about do to the environment chosen for living. In fact it is the so-called 'whites' that are the mutants for we all origianated int he African plains. We lost our extreme pigmantation when we moved to areas without intense sunlight because there was not selective advantage to it. It has NOTHING to do with the size of the brain or the intelect within.......

Oh, and by the way, if it were not for genetic diversity and the ability to adapt to change, then there would be no such thing as humans..in fact I doubt very much that we would have gotten past being single cellular, asexual organisms such as bacteria...a state which you may prefer.

Seeing crackpot pseudo-religious theories like PYT's so soundly trounced is quite refreshing. As a matter of fact, I think this hippie nerdo mutt is going to wear tie-dye today, just to celebrate!

Having just re-read this entire thread ( instead of mowing the lawn ) Ahaga is right. It's time to say goodbye to PYT. What has been interesting is to see the various ideas as to who, or more appropriately, what, PYT is. No clues on PYT's homepage. Sanity has prevailed on the question of "interracial breeding." What else did we expect?

one thing I find upsetting about this subject is the depressingly stupid reasoning which stands (tottering) behind the original (and subsequent clarifications by PYT) question. I find the thought processes evinced to be so foriegn to mine that I can't help but think that perhaps they are the product of a brain of a different species. This post is not meant as a joke.

Anhaga, I agree that PYT's "thought process" (using the term loosely!) seems alien. Unfortunately, I've met people in real life who share those beliefs. Racists seem to bridge a spectrum ranging from mild distaste for people of different colors/nationalities, to the outright hatred and bigotry PYT shows.

Some of the people on the "mild" end of racism can be reasoned with. I have yet to meet any of the "haters" who were willing to listen to other viewpoints. This also seems to be true when dealing with other hotbutton issues such as homosexuality, religion, politics, etc... the more deeply ingrained the belief, the less willing the person is to consider any other ideas.

Oh, I've met 'em too. and I really feel like the ones you can't reason with are another species. I'd certainly have a hard time "breeding" with them.

Somebody mentioned earlier in the thread something about PYT breeding with himself... that seems pretty likely to me, as I can't imagine anyone else wanting to!

In conversation I was in a while back we were discussing the possibility of some people being born without a soul. People who hate for the sheer joy of hating would fit the bill - if such a thing is possible.

The trouble here is not something you might want to hear: you hippy liberal mutts talk about "celebrating diversity", but when you're faced with it, quote often you short-circuit. Well here's the news: PYT *is* diversity, in your face, and right here. If you're serious about your belief in it, you've GOT to learn to deal with him.

Too many people, I think, romanticise the "noble savage". The savage isn't noble. He's a savage. He doesn't think like you, he doesn't care about the things you care about, and he thinks you're scum. He may not say so, in so many words - he may just have enough smarts to realise that *will* get him censored (although don't bet on it). But he *does* think it.

People like PYT are a test of your commitment to your principles. Free speech is not there to protect you and your friends and the people you agree with.

And suggesting that people who have different views to you, views you find repellent, might be a different SPECIES? If you can even THINK that - how are you different from them?

If PYT said he couldn't understand black people, to the point he thought they were a different species, what would be your response? You'd be down on him like a tonne of liberal bricks. And yet you feel as though it's OK to say that of him.

That's an interesting concept. I guess it's hard for me to think of being born without a soul AT ALL... it's easier for me to get my mind around the idea of good souls vs. evil souls. Or being born with a soul, but choosing (for whatever reason) to give it up.
