Azahar,
We were posting simultaneously.
I think each person's response to trauma is rightfully theirs to have. You have every right to be angry. As you say, you were 5 years old. In most cases, an adult has some ability to fall back on experience or training or resources in order to survive. The same cannot be said for a child.
A case in point would be the Residential Schools where children were abused, some terribly, as children. Each child "coped" in a different way. Some didn't cope. I read a document and I can see the damage done to them. For a few, someone cared to intervene and help, for others there was no help. Some survived, some didn't, some rose above the pain, others never will.
My father-in-law was abused at one Residential School. On one hand he believes that he emerged unscathed from the school. On the other, I see the damage that it did to him in the person he is. Some say he is wrong not to want to sue for the life he lived. I believe he has the right to make what he chooses of his pain.

Seeing as red and grey squirrls are diffent species, I wouldn't adviuse breeding them. Makes about as much sence as breeding humans with cimpanzees. Probly wouldn't word and the result would be sterile. Its not relevent to this discussion.
And, as for my opinion; I don't see what reasonable argument can be made against interracial breeding.

Ah, PYT, you're back! Welcome!
Now, do you have any intention of carrying on an intelligent discussion, or are you simply here to cause trouble?

Very mature, PYT. Much as I'd love to tell you a few things, I won't sink to your level. I make it a policy not to wage a battle of wits with an unarmed person.

yeah Slick you just keep looking after those Multi-Species Pheromones
Go catch the lovebus with the rest of your mongrel pals and long after your sorry asses have bred yourselfs back in to the sea people like me who care about my race will have forgot about you and got on with keeping the human race human"
Actually, PYT, I prefer the term "mutt" over mongrel. Has a much friendlier ring to it!
Have a nice day, life, etc... you're not even worth bothering to hit the YIKES button over!

PYT... and to think that they've given you the benefit of the doubt...
so what are you exactly?!
an ignorant or a racist?!
or perhaps both?!

Yeah, Loup, I'm afraid my is missing in action, too. I also can't picture breeding myself back into the sea, either, as I live smack in the middle of the Chihuahuan Desert
The desert where, I might add, it would be greatly to my benefit if my skin were SEVERAL shades darker than it is! I'm either lilly white, or burned to a crisp... unfortunately, a good healthy tan seems to be out of my reach genetically!
Such is life, I suppose!

warrior ranger... yep...
i am lucky as i tan easily... but i'm not sure about the desert tho'...
oh well, at least the suspense is over now... we now know that the first posting wasn't an innocent question after all...
but we didn't get any explanations on why and how our little friend believes that interracial "breeding" is a no-no... shame really... i could have done with a good laugh...

Oh, I've a feeling we've not heard the last of PYT on this topic. It should be enlightening.
I've been away for a few days, so I just found this thread earlier this evening. Catching up on the backlog was quite enjoyable for me... I'm pleased to see that more and more people are becoming "colorblind" in today's world. A long overdue change, as far as I'm concerned!

I also can't remember being called "Slick" before, either. What, precisely, does that mean?
