I'll tell you what you don't see anymore, well, in cinemas anyway .............Choc Ices and Salted Peanuts. I don't want a waste-paper basket full of styrofoam or a Cocoa Cola for a couple of quid.

So true - brown and leathery. And tennis balls used to be white (turned grey rather quickly, though). funny - I think they introduced the yellow balls to accommodate colour TV. Now they're making the previously coloured balls black and white (to accommodate colour TV?)
And I can see Jimmy Hill any time I look at my Wedding Album. There was a picture of him on the wall behind us when we cut the cake!

Daps - The 50's equivelant of the trainer shoe. Daps were once worn by boys undertaking formal physical humiliation at school. Metamorphasised into trainers, they are now the badge of the chav.

Border Eggs.
Now I feel I have to explain because I've never found anyone else who has heard of them. Not even Google. They were simply Cadbury's Creme Eggs with a choccy filling. Made by Cadbury's and wrapped in a tartan foil.
Perhaps they can still be bought in Scotland then (deep fried in batter?). Actually I can get deep fried battered Mars Bars in the chippy 50 yards from my front door here in Softy Southworld. Never had one though.
