Hmmm. Rather expensive in overregulated Germany, possible in your part of the world: drive a chariot. Motorbike with sidecar is the best road fun you can have at legal speed. Does your walking frame fold to be stored?
Look for a serious club in your area - one where you meet the crazies who restore and run classic bikes. Very likely someone will know someone who has a coffin languishing in the garden shed.

Yes Pit, my frame does fold to be stored but it’s quite a long thing lengthwise when it does. Widthwise folded I think it’s OK. what, could I lash it to the back of a bike or something? That’d look mad. they’re bitching at me to get a car but with said aid, it’s difficult. I can’t get a Mini for example, though I should dearly LOVE one. A bike would be awesome. And give me street cred, haha.

Hmmm...Mini? I hope you mean the REAL Mini, not that corpserobbing "New Mini", Miss Doolittle?
Lashing the longish folded frame to a bike - think chopper. A Sissy Bar is that high upright at the back - a few bungees tying your NHS Ferrari to it and there you go.
it - the more I think about your problems the more I get that terrible itch in my right wrist. I WANT A BIKE!

And I want a . You'd think with the hordes of outdoorsy tourists here, they'd have some nearby, but the nearest riding school is a 20 minute drive!

Ah, lord no A REAL MINI DAMMIT! which I can’t have. “NHS Ferrari.” LOL, Pit. I think I love you; that’s awesome. I might as well look into it.

Pit, I must be mental because I'm actually going to take your advice and see if I could get a modified bike of some sort. I’ll not turn serious about the whole thing til I know if I could get my hands on something. The National Association of Bikers with Disabilities does exist and I’ll take a squiz at them in a bit when I’ve done the rest of the stuff clamouring for my attention.
I’d say modifying a bike/trike/quad type thing might actually be CHEAPER than modifying a car for hand controls... a bike is hand controlled anyway, is it not? (Shows you just how much I know if it’s bloody not!)
PH: Not using my Polish for a week or three, then just hearing bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugggggggggggggggggggguurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrhggghhhhhhhhhhhh when I have to listen to an mp3 my tutor sent me... tomorrow night will be fun(!)
BUT, my sister is upgrading to the new iPhone- it should be here soon- so I get her old one, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.
Please give your mum a kiss from me. I just upgraded my frame to a newer model (it’s tighter, firmer and blue! Plus the wheels work!) so it won’t start folding unexpectedly on me for the next 4 or 5 years or so. I hope, anyway. They’re great for getting about but awful when you’re using taxis or anything like that- more often than not, I just put it in the back seat, then the drivers bitch about the wheels filthing up their upholstery. Well, aye, but it’s not dirty, I checked, so shut it.
Talking of the damn thing folding unexpectedly on you, the morning of one exam when I was running to get the train it did it. My boyfriend’s mother had fiddled with it, thinking she could get it down and she’d accidently pushed in the pins for the front wheels instead of the pins on the body. Result being that when I put weight on it to run for said train, I faceplanted. That was fun!
I'm getting an iPhone, heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! *dances*
RE thinking faster than typing... hate it. hate it hate hate hate it. you see the error(s) after you post the message/blog/quote/whatever, too!

Anna, hand controlled - nope. Clutch left hand, throttle and front brake right hand, rear brake one foot, gearchange the other.
But there are motorscooters. Automatic. Right hand throttle, right hand or right foot brake. One man who got his peerage for having been world champion on two as well as on four wheels loves them. Sir Stirling Moss.

It's called 'the lowest common denominator'
Although, this does bring (temporary) meanings to lowest and common. I dread to thing what the 'Geordie pikies' or whatever it's called 'Reality show' will produce.

People fly tipping at the back of my house.
Over my fence there is a footpath with a wide verge followed by a ditch / stream and then a field.
I am forever having to call the council to arrange for the removal of rebish dumped there by someone who drags it from their house to the back of mine rather than dispose of it properly. This morning I woke up to the site of an old mattress out there. Previously it had been old kitchen units, TV, a vacuum cleaner and furniture as well as smaller stuff that I can get in my bin. My bin is the same size as other peoples bins round here!
Grrrrr.

PP, man. We have a weekend shack out in away from nowhere...you go there and need a flippin´ lorry to cart away all the "presents".
