Also rude people, people that do not have a job and are able to spend all day on the internet shopping and rude people

People who do not have jobs are NOT able to shop online or anywhere else. Being out of work is NOT a lifestyle choice.
Your remark is a gross generalisation that represents nothing more than small minded deeply offensive prejudice that reflects more on you than anyone else.

##Being out of work is NOT a lifestyle choice.##
for some it is
a friend of mine was out of work "on the sick" for an extended period
he was always talking of trying to get back into work, but never did
after his mum died and he inherated the house and some money his benefits were reduced, he was suddenly fit enough to work 16 hours a week to supplement his reduced benefits, yet no more than that or he would lose all his benefits

Strange how the number of people "too lazy to go out and work" always peaks at times when the economy's screwed. Like that epidemic of laziness that coincided with the stock market crash in 1929.

Mr. Dreadful - But really I'm not actually your friend, but I am... Posted Jun 17, 2011
The problem is that there *are* a lot of people who are too lazy to work. A fair few of them live in Swindon and the field operatives from my last permanent job dealt with such people on a daily basis. And yet the Workfare scheme is targetting people who are already doing other things to improve their chances of getting a job.

GT, are you classing me in the "right winger making sweeping generalisations with no thought for individual circumstances" group? When a Tory says "too lazy to work" they mean "anyone on benefits", when I say it I literally mean people who are too lazy to work.

My point was that there's a strong correlation between the number of people who are too lazy to work and the economy being in a shambles. Draw your own conclusions.

when you talk to someone and gives you his/her back without saying a word as if you are not talking.

I hate that one.
Also, when you talk to someone and they're constantly looking over your shoulder, or around the room as though they're trying to find someone more interesting to talk to.

On the other end of the 'people-not-paying-attention' one - how about this for a PH counter-attack: People who go on and on about the same subject and say the same thing three or four times. I'm thinking to myself.. We could have had further discussion while they were repeating themselves, or concluded the topic and moved on.
That's why I switch off. Paradoxically, therefore, it's because I *AM* listening to them that my attention appears to be wandering - I'm waiting for my interlocutor to say something new, but am too polite to point out that they are becoming repetitive.
To confuse the paradox even further - I do tend to reiterate what I've just said myself when talking, because I am used to people not listening first time round and am aware that my way of putting things is not usually easy to understand. I do, however, try to repeat myself with different words, and giving only a short summary of what I've already said. I should at least remember to point out that I am aware that I am repeating myself.
All rather confusing and contradictory, really. As a woman, I feel it is my prerogative to think like that!

Sloppy reporting on TV news programs. First we had a lunar eclipse that was a 'once in a lifetime experience' according to the reporter. They occour 2 or 3 times a year.
Secondly we had a report from a Austrian village where the chalets were 'thousands of years old'. Really? Thousands of years?

Once in a lifetime: who said it was a human lifetime?
Thousand of years: eeeer.... Thousand of Mercury years?
OK, I do agree with sloppy reporting being a PH. Well, borderlining pettyness -- not really sure which side of the line it is though.

On the subject of people repeating themselves, it is surprising how in conversation some people can make exactly the same point in a sentence but just completely rephrase it.
What really annoys me is when I am interupted mid sentence and the person I am talking to changes the subject.
On a related note, I'm fascinated by people who get their words mixed up. For example, my elderly mother used to come back from her day centre, look at me sadly and say that a friend was diagnosed with Ann Summers disease. I assume she meant Altzheimers disease.
Key: Complain about this post
