tell him not to worry, that you are going to get a couple of goats to keep the grass low, and not to worry about the smell, he'll soon get used to it and won't notice it much

PHoD ... parents who talk for their small children. You ask the little person a question, the small person is silent for less than 2 seconds, parent jumps in with the answer for them ... come on, let them build social skills ...

That some of my photos from my recent London trip may be lost. There's one or two that are very precious and if I lose them, I will cry. And PH nr 2 is exas and revision. Don't wanna!

Some of them *are* sporty though - big time. They're like quads, some of them. If you're looking at buying one can I plug A50669850 ?

It was a tricky entry to write, because it's a one-size-fits-all guide. What suits one person down to the ground will be useless for someone else. It depends on what their needs are.
I think it's about the ugliest prose I've ever written though.

Cosmetics, toiletaries, etc which list their main ingredient as "Aqua". When and why did this pretentious nonsense become fashionable? Is there something distasteful and un-magical about listing it as plain old water?!

PH: Unusual shopping requests. Someone's just asked me to buy them a whistle (I know, I know, long story ) and I can't think of any shop where I'd get one.

Try an outdoor/hiking place.
PH: the refusal of the volume control slider on my computer to stop on 42, it's always 43 or 41

Yeah, that's about the best bet.
It just means heading further afield to shop and buying a more expensive one designed for people who need all the cool gear with all the bells and...er...whistles, pardon the pun.
