It would have to admit you have to lug your odkfdflnf fridge around to get rid of the stink, so they donĀ“t tell.

Don't think this one's been mentioned before:
sticky labels or tape put on things in wrong polaces and that can't be peeled off without leaving bits of paper or glue behind. I bought a metal rule - for cutting mounts when framing pictures if you must know - and the ruler was stuck down for display purposes only onto the card of the packaging. When the tape was removed it left a sticky mess on the ruler that in the end I had to brillo pad off.
And MOH is, as I write, trying to scratch a price label off a pen she bought as a gift for a young niece and the label is currently in bits on the floor, on her desk, and still on the pen again.

DVD price labels covering the crucial information (language spoken, subtitles, time zone).

Speaking of it...
"Easy opening". I suspect it's deemed 'easy' because you end up using a knif or scissors or some other device

For a truly petty hate...
Sometimes, I kick off my slippers under my desk while I have my legs crossed, and then when I put my feet back in them, I'm wearing the wrong one on each foot. I hate it when that happens!

Oh Jeez yes, the slipper thing. I do that too. Truly petty and so irritating.

The sticky label problem is particularly annoying if it's on a book or bookmark. There is a product called 'Sticky Stuff Remover', which does exactly what it says on the tin. This is fine for most things, including metal rulers, but it's not something I'd want to use on a book.

Slippers? I hate it when I find that the kids - or The Missus - have used mine when they needed to nip outside to the shed...

Petty Hates (of which these are only a few):
The Polish language [I'm learning it, and I've never encountered spelling or pronounciation like this in my life- not even Russian or Finnish are this tough!]
Weather that sounds like the Four Horsemen are on their way (I think they've just pulled up outside my window, actually).
Having to pay for the latest version of Microsoft Word (2000 freezes when I try it), and therefore being reduced to using WordPad [not bad but I want spellcheck dammit! And the lovely ability to write in other languages!) or having no product key for the damn thing!
Oh, and my laptop not being back yet. I want my laptop back dammit.
