What's the point of custard on bread and butter pudding? It's made with a kind of custard to start with (egg custard, I think), and adding 'ordinary' custard would spoil it, IMO. I'm with Sho on that one. Don't do it.

Oh, fine: When People Speak By Using Acronyms. It's Incredibly Irritating.

If you want a translation...
I've not encountered that problem, but I'm sure it is irritating.

Just got off my PH for the week - phone call about an order for a book that hasn't arrived and they've sent me aanother invoice when my first payment already shows on my bank statement - the PH part of it is that the 'customer service executive(!)' tries to give me loads of details about WHY it happened and intricate details on how they will resolve the accounting for it in their office. I DON'T WANT TO KNOW! All I want is my book for **** sake.
Why do companies want to tell you why things have happened? That's irrelevant - what it relevant is that they sort it immediately to my satisfaction.

Contrast this with the service from a company that provides Software 4 Students. I ordered Office 2007 Standard from them, but the order was lost in transit. They emailed me before I got worried about the order not arriving, and gave me a free upgrade to Office 2007 Enterprise as compensation for any inconvenience. Now that's what I call service!

Yes, I've dealt with them before now and found them good - I also recommend Zen internet providers - who were the Which? best buy ISP earlier this year - they have fantastic customer services always keep you informed and seem to be able to preempt problems by warning and giving advice before the event. 5 stars for them
If they can do it, why can't everyone else

You can call me TC Posted Nov 23, 2009
I probably said this last winter. And the winter before. But my jacket still insists on catching on the back of my saddle when I'm trying to get off my bike. If I'm not careful, it rips the zip open, thus ruining the zip.

TC - bungee cords from the saddle to the luggage rack (or whatever it´s called in English). Problem solved.

Oooh, that's the reason I hate the chairs in the kitchen. They have this cross-bar across the back that expands into an oval in the middle. Purely decorative, but I always get my belt caught under it when I get up!

"Designer" clother, "Designer" furniture... Trying to help gf out of her coat and the sleeves´ lining comes out and does a very credible anaconda act. (OK, I´m a coward - I don´t smile at my good old Belstaff jacket whiloe she tries to do the Houdini out of her coat)

...if things are like they were in my times...half the time you need to fill in forms, spent on a moonlighting job, would get you twice the money. You keep bureaucrats alive and fed when studying!
